I agree for the most part

But as I recall Vlad has been told more than once that he needs to be more aggressive, especially given his size and strength

I will call steward telling him ( paraphrasing ) "you got to step it up and take this guy out; you're a big man "

That's why the rematch will be so interesting ...to see if Vlad does step up his game and throw his usual cautious, "keep them at bay" style to the wind in order to make a concerted effort to beat fury

    and I think he can

this is going to be a great fight and --very-- interesting to see what Wlad does as far as aggression goes

I think this is somewhat judgemental - wlad simply got found out that's all and got old, he was 39 for god sakes.

the guy didn't fight back because he simply had nothing in the tank. His time has passed, he cant muster the bare minimum to beat fringers anymore.

But we hold other fighters (Mayweather , Ward) to high standards with who they fight and how. What makes Wlad different?:huh
    Because you like him more?

no but getting beat at 39 and not performing is acceptable. mayweather is an uinfair comparison, wlad was never in his league or close.

the only thing I don't find acceptable was his hugging onto the world ttile for too long and of coruse tagteaming.

    plus some of his fans

Fury had the advantage of size and good movement but he is not an impressive boxer.

An opponent of Furys size is something Wlad was lost on how to deal with. When wlad no longer had his size and reach advantage and finally faced someone taller with more reach than him, it was something he was Unprepared for.

But that is strange because he knew fury size and had to have watched extensive tapes of him in order to prepare... that's what I don't understand; why he was not better prepared for a fighter of fury size in the first fight , But then again maybe he was prepared, but just could not implement it Who knows

but we will see what he does in the rematch. he knows what he is facing now and it will be interesting what changes he brings to his style

Vlad is finished .should pack it in before he gets hurt. Fury is a nutter and will take pleasure in slowly taking Vlad apart .watch the first fight look a t Vlads body language he did not want to be there .fury will have no respect for him now.fury is not playing with a full deck and Vlad is in big trouble.

^ A professional, well spoken, articulate, and dedicated PH.D. against a big oaf who is uneducated, likes to drink heavily and party hard, and is also a bit mentally unstable

Brilliant marketing angle for the rematch.

OP is an idiot. Wlad is nearly 40 years old--he just doesn't have it anymore.

Wlad has 18 title defenses and another 5 of the WBO belt against such top competition as Povetkin, Haye, Ibragmivo, Chagaev, Thompson, Mercer, McCline, and on and on. He is undeniable ATG.

    Suck it.

Right this moment Wladimir is being trained in the extensive art of inside fighting. Dr. Ironfist is renewing his colleagues medical license. Dr. Steelhammers ball bearings have been replaced by new and improved state of the art versions. His mechanical fluids flushed and refilled. Dr. Steelhammer will step into the ring a complete fighter. One with the knowledge granted by his other half. A perfect fusion of Super Heavyweight perfection.

Tyson is fighting an uphill battle in the rematch. Wladimir didn't even give Fury enough info to work with in training camp. Tyson might as well not have fought Wladimir at all. Dr. Steelhammer studied his opponent, wrote his thesis, and had it peer reviewed. What does his thesis say you might ask? It's simple, Tyson Fury is a mentally ill clown who needs a dual dose of therapy from the worlds two leading physicians. Therapy that will be provided via piston propelled gut wrenching hooks and uppercuts.

    Tyson Fury is finished.

LOSING in OK most of the greatest fighters lost at some point, losing THE WAY Wlad did is shameful he was fine with losing his belts, he has all the talent in the world and no heart. Safety pin in his head is something he cant change Emanuel had to yell at him to stop Eddie Chambers when he was dominating and still could not let his punches go.
LEWIS vs VITALI is something Wlad needs to watc to see how champion defends his belt, if it doesnt go your way you go all out like Lennox did and he won, WLad was happy to lose UD. :tired
