i find it funny how a lot of posters/ggg haters keep yelling "bumluvkin did 97k" "he's no draw" but they're the same idiots defending ward for not being able to sell any of his tickets for the barerra fight... ward can't sellout anything worth a damn, the oracle arena literally has to result to giving away free tickets just to fill seats in. david lemieux can sell more tickets in the states than ward can. if ward is for some reason ever allowed on payperview, how well would he do? would the amount of buys even reach double digits? would it even reach a thousand?

Ward can't sell peanuts. He's been inactive for 120 years and everyone has forgotten about him.

That's why he's moving up weight classes to seek greatness after already dominating SMW. He's set up to fight the boogeyman, the most dangerous man in boxing. He's getting busy, making moves and getting money.

Meanwhile, Bummyluvkin is stuck in bumland, still looking for the chance to fight shopworn midgets, bums, prospects, and cab drivers. The only excuse his fangirls can make is that he wants to become the 3rd man at MW to hold all 4 belts and break Bernard Hopkins least meaningful record of 20 MW defenses. He doesn't want paydays(Nelo at 155) doesn't want to fight elite opponents(his best win got knocked out by shopworn midget Cotton in more spectacular fashion) and doesn't want to move up like all the other greats did.

instead of fighting golovkin, cotto weight drained golovkin's leftovers... lol that sounds good. canelo will meet golovkin at 160 like a man because it's a 160 title.

If you think Golovkin is ducking Canelo, you are as delusional as the GGG polesmokers.

GGG is a good fighter, Ward is a good fighter. Both have very different styles and attract very different 'fans'. Chill on the bullchit hate aye? Why hate another man when he has done nothing wrong?

    Sad really. :hi:

Since when did the amount a fighter made become a variable of how well liked a fighter should be? How the hell is not being bullied by a corrupt sanctioning body a bad thing? There are better fights at 160 than Canelo, who cares if that particular fight doesn't even happen. He can pick up his vacant belt and fight Saunders and dispose of Jacobs. From then on it's up to him where he wants to take his career. chasing a title defense record or chasing H2H legacy by going to 168. Either one is fine, deserves credit, and is ultimately up to him.

People were quoting the low numbers to justify their argument against GGG-Lemieux being on PPV, not sure how Wards ticket sales are relevant here. Golovkin is clearly a bigger draw than Ward, dont see anyone claiming otherwise.

Cotton was set up to fight Nelo even before he got the WBC/Lineal strap. The fight was lined up if Cotton was able to get passed Trout, but Trout completely embarrassed and outboxed Cotton in his adoptive hometown of Madison Square Garden. Nelo fought Trout instead, and Sergio Martinez decided to fight shopworn midget Cotton thinking it would be an easy payday.

After Cotton beat up and made Martinez quit boxing, he had a year layoff due to promotional disputes and fought Bummyluvkins best opponent Geale in a tune up fight.. :patsch:rofl to set up a super fight with Nelo.

While all this was happening, Bummyluvkin was stuck with egg on his face, waiting for handouts like a little boy at Halloween. The mans legacy so far has been waiting around desperately for the chance to fight midgets..

And yet that inaccurate PPV number is muttered in way more threads than Lemieux is. What it WAS being used for is irrelevant to what it is used to do now.

Of course Bummyluvkin isn't ducking Canelo. Nelo is right up GiGi's ballpark, easy win and easy money for him. Nelo is the golden goose in boxing right now, he calls the shots. The WBC bent over backwards and ruined their reputation even more catering to the ginger.

Bernard Hopkins jumped at the chance to fight then golden goose Oscar DLH at a 157 pound catch weight for ALL 4 belts. Bummyluvkin(the man who sold 97k ppvs) however is hesitant, he's comfortable fighting the Monroe's and Wade's in the world. And I'm not sure why.

    No there isn't.. :rofl

Believe it or not, the midgets are actually bringing excitement back to Bumland aka the MW division. Its become a circus freakshow after Martinez fought Chavez Jr. Khan is fighting for the lineal strap for christsakes.. :patsch:-:)nut

GiGi for some odd reason wants to become king of bumland though. His sole career is dependent on becoming the King of the Bums. At 34 years of age, he's still not there yet. :rofl He's wasting his PRIME trying to become the bum king instead of fighting elite opposition and becoming a great.

Now we all care about sales. You didn't care when Floyd was selling, but now you care about what Ward sells because nobody wants to pay to see GG fight. #Hypocrite

What exactly are people arguing over? Ward and GGG supporters/criticizers going at each other all the time. Hopefully if it goes as planned, GGG fights Canelo later this year and Ward fights Kovalev. In the latter being possibly the best, most 50/50 matchup of 2016.

Where exactly did this Ward/GGG rivalry come in? Because they had a failed negotiation over weight in which we don't even know how serious negotiations even were?

If both of those matchups take place in 2016, it's best that serious negotiations didn't take place. Who cares how many tickets or PPVs they sell? It's really irrelevant since negotiations fell thru and both of them are (hopefully) headed for big fights this year.

They don't even attempt PPV with Ward. They can tell just from the regular viewership of his past fights and realize that it cant be put on PPV. The PPV advertising slots would cost more than what the fight would bring in.
