Any Middleweights you'd favor over Sam Langford?

Nobody that got knocked out by a bodyshot from jeff smith is beating Langford...

 

Carried away ? those two are right up there with the best of all time, as for not seeing Langford well that's a poor excuse, there is film of him in a few fights..... the guy who can knock out Joe Jeanette can beat any middleweight in theory. Go and watch the film of that one, it was their tenth meeting, also see him destroy Bill Lang for fun eh.

How strong can Langford really be at 160?

A bit like Charles and Moore I just can't see it as his best weight.

 

I already posted on this but fact is there was no knock out, Darcy got hit in the *****, but he was ok, his trainer quit not Darcy, and Dave Smith had no right to spit his dummy... the fight report clearly states all this and in fact it seems Darcy was ahead in the fight and then he makes mincemeat of Smith in the second fight, all this is in the source report, or do you only agree with reports that suit you and claim those that don't are lies ????

 

I don't think it was his best weight but I am sure he was always a KO hitter, I think he began to slide around 1916 or maybe 15

 

I also do not want to put Greb down but this is the same Jeff Smith who Greb stated and I quote, "Cut me to ribbons" that was exactly what greb said Jeff Smith did to him... seems Darcy did better against Smith than Greb did... just sayin'. The guy who greb says was his toughest opponent, Darcy beat...... of course it doesn't mean Darcy beats Langford, sure that Greb struggles with Sam if Greb struggles with jeff Smith who Carpentier knocked out.

 

Did anyone besides you mention Darcy? Methinks the lady doth protest too much...

 

Greb never lost a fight to Jeff Smith. Darcy cant say that.

And im not sure what record books they have in the land of oz but carpentier never knocked out Smith. Not even close.

 

It seems Smith was robbed in at least one fight so I hear from a friend. I have seen the fight you are referring to...... Carpentier drops Smith and he slips at the same time.... Carpentier wins virtually every round Stephen.
