My point was about current situation. Golovkin was looking opponents for his next two fights before Canelo and he had to settle for Wade. Jacobs and Lee both could have taken the fight.
Incorrect. Golovkin's goals are to unify the middleweight division. He had to fight a unification (i.e. Saunders or Canelo) or fight his mandatory (Wade) or be stripped. Jacobs secondary title is not recognized by the IBF. So GGG couldn't have fought either
