Of course I know all of that.

It should be easily obvious that Mayweather fought Berto to give him a pay check.
Had Augustus been able, I would have very much liked if Mayweather had chosen Augustus to get the check for his many years in the sport.
Mayweather distractors would have whined and dismissed his choice, but fuk em, they DKSAB and ain't real fans anyway.

Fought a ridiculous amount of unbeaten fighters.

John Thaxton a British fighter said he was better than Ricky Hatton.

It is the international hall of fame and though Augustus was a great gate keeper and entertainer he wasn't really world level
There will probably always be someone more worthy who deserves to get in before him

You have to factor in that he fought many of them on 4 days to 2 weeks notice, was lacking decent management/training, had to travel to opponent's back yard, sometimes overseas, and still managed to win his fair share of those matches.
Mayweather probably gave him the most time to prepare and said he was one of his toughest fights.
If Augustus fought Hatton, I would bet on Augustus with the real fear of him being robbed at the end.

He'd beat him. Be all over him. Micky Ward? Get a grip. You seem to have a really romantic view of journeymen boxers. Both are great and total legends but they were not world class fighters.

Arturo Gatti was also inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2013.

It is what it is. The boxing hall of fame. I always enjoyed watching Augustus, but you said it yourself, he was a gate keeper that got robbed a few times. I've no doubt that Augustus will enter the hall at some point, and probably ahead of much better fighters, but people need to remember that it's a hall of FAME and sometimes skills take a back seat.

Somebody also mentioned Stallone and other broadcasters etc are in the hall, but it is a different category than the fighters, so that's fine with me.

I also really enjoyed Ward, great fan friendly fighter, but he was never an elite boxer. His trilogy with a fading Gatti is what he is best remembered for and is the biggest reason he will be in the hall, not because of his great skills.

I'm being perfectly serious here with no trolling .....
I would put a fighter like Emanuel Augustus into my HOF in a heartbeat. He epitomizes what boxing is all about." Fight anyone, Anywhere, Any time just give me time to get there " was his motto He deserves to be inducted
    BUT
In no way should boxers like Floyd Mayweather jr, Shane Mosely etc who had to stoop to using PED's & corruption to gain success ever be allowed in
No CHEATERS!! ALLOWED!! in my HOF CHEATERS belong in the
!!!!!!!! HALL of SHAME !!!!! Just my honest opinion

No fvcking way! He gave a few decent fighters problems but he is far from a Hall of Famer. Sure, he may have gotten a few losses that could have went his way but don't get it twisted people.

Does the HOF have a "Robberies Wall"?

Hatton was a fat bum. Mugger with no real boxing skills.
