Compared to Carl Quiggs movements are slow mechanical and telegraphed. His punches are ponderous swings that take the long way round.
Its all about levels. Quigg is pass level Carl is honours level.

 

If he's on weight 3 days before then there's something wrong. You want to be on weight for the least amount of time possible

For the 4 years this fight has been spoke about I literally haven't minded who wins but you have single handily got me to cheer on Quigg, I don't think there's ever been a more clueless poster than you

 

See what happens but for me the whole frampton making weight thing is a worry unless they have portrayed it that way on purpose. The fact they said he was a lot lighter a lot earlier in camp for me rang alarm bells I think they've had to try and make adjustments for this fight and it's not a good time for trial and error when your facing potentially the biggest puncher in the division

 

Same I am also a Team Quigg fan now, he turns every thread into a discussion about Frampton

Well there will be a lot of egg on Shane's face if Quigg conditioning turns out to be better than Frampton's considering getting his fighters in top shape is meant to be his strength with his background in sports science

 

I thought they both looked in great shape, I don't see either fighter or team taking any chances in their preparations.

I wouldn't regard myself as a fan of either fighter but I am leaning towards Frampton, I have thought for a long time that Frampton has the beating of Quigg and I've not seen anything that has really changed my mind.

I know the old saying "you're only as good as your last fight" but I think people are looking way too much into both fighters last performances and ignoring previous performances and quality of opponents.

 

As someone said earlier, the last fight for Frampton may have done him some good.

It reminds me a little of Groves v Deagle, where Chunky was coming off a fantastic win over Paul Smith and Groves had been life and death with Kenny Anderson.

 

They have the same opponents on their CV's for their best win.

Quigg won in emphatic style, Carl struggled in the first fight and boxed on the back foot in the second.

Quigg looked miles better.

Depends on how you look at it, some will say Frampton had already beaten Martinez, gave him two beatings and Quigg was facing a Martinez who was softened up by Frampton.

Nobody is denying Quigg looked impressive, I personally think he didn't look that impressive against Salinas and the opponents between Salinas and Martinez were average in my opinion.

Quigg was getting hammered for the quality of opponent he was facing.
