Hopkins accepted Golvkins terms and if Canelo or Saunders

How in the hell is Stevensons resume levels about Kovalev's?

 

Fighting Hopkins won't make Stevenson any more money. It's a no win situation for him if he takes that fight. I'd rather see Golovkin fight Lara than Hopkins. Golovkin should have had Alvarez stripped already, got his belt since he is so intent on unifying the division and then moved up. DeGale is willing to fight Golvokin also. Hopkins isn't the only choice if he is willing to fight outside of 160. Hopkins has been nothing but smoke and mirrors for the last couple of years. I have no interest in seeing him get beat up by Golovkin.

 

Does turning down a fight against a 51 year who took a total shellacking in his last fight, and who hasn't fought in about 18 months make him a fraud?

 

Considering he would lose, yes.

..and considering he was in prolonged negotiations to face that same fighter in the not too distant past when they were in their late forties, yeah.

 

GGG should be embarrassed of himself if he agrees to face Hopkins.

 

So, you think a fight with THIS Hopkins is a more legitimate fight than one against Fonfara or Alvarez?

I agree, Stevenson has no incentive to face Hopkins, who was beaten by his rival Kov.
If he loses, it's a loss to a 51 year old man, if he wins, who cares, Kov already beat him.

He's always been insecure and felt he needs to prove something.

 

This is the same Hopkins. Just because Kovalev managed to outbox him doesn't change that he was still outfoxing ranked contenders until right before that. Suggesting otherwise is really not giving Kovalev enough credit.

 

Imagine if Bumlovkin takes on Hopkins, nearly 10 YEARS after people were complaining that Super Joe was fighting an old man. :rofl
