Don't like the turtle shell D against Golovkin's body punching at all. I also don't think he counters hard enough or has the offensive firepower to keep Golovkin off of him. Winky will have his moments and get some shots in, but Golovkin outworks and outlands him. I'll give Winky's toughness enough respect to go GGG on points here.
:nono Popular misconception Winky had a high workrate GGG isn't outworking him. Winky would come forward with that high guard using his ATG jab he was really almost a educated pressure fighter.
I love Winky's jab, and that's where I think most of his scoring's going to come from, but I still think that's enough to overcome GGG throwing and landing more power shots- and that is an area I think GGG outworks and outscores him in, anchored by the left hook to the body. I've got nothing but respect for Winky H2H, I just wish he hadn't gone a little bonkers in the last part of his career when it came to getting fights made. :good
Winky was never as well suited for 160. At 160 Golovkin beats him. At 154 however, it would be an interesting prospect.
