    Haha man if Parker fights Takam he arguably has fought a higher level of proven competition than AJ even if AJ wins the title. 2016 seems to have the potential to escalate in HW

    Joseph Parker to fight International Boxing Federation elimination bout against Carlos Takam to find the #1 mandatory challenger for the IBF heavyweight title.
    Charles Martin defends the title against Anthony Joshua on April 9 in London. The winner must make a mandatory defence against Parker or Takam by mid January 2017.
    Parker and Takam's representatives have begun negotiations as to where and when their elimination bout will be staged.

    Great news, a much needed step up for Parker. Should be a good fight, guess we'll see if Parker is really as good as he looks, as Takam is no walkover.

    Agreed. If Parker blows Takam away then only morons will say Takam was nobody. Dangerous fight though, as I said above - a level above anyone Joshua has fought... definitely a PROPER fight.
