35:25 Are really going to act like Cotto got busted up that much with Margarito landing nothing? Like many, (not necessarily you) claim.

He didn't look that bad after Canelo beat him down for 12 rounds, the tide was starting to turn.

Don't give me that bull****, he was starting to gas again just like he did in the first fight, remember Cotto was easily outboxing Margarito for the majority of the first one as well util Antonio's pressure got to him and he gassed out in the 9th and it all went downhill from there. Cotto was feeling the pressure Margarito was starting to land more, Cotto's face was starting to look like hell again, it only took him 2 rounds the really beatdown Cotto the first time he had 3 left in that match, don't act like that was an impossibility.

Yeah, I never understood that argument either (it pops up here occasionally). Margarito didn't land much in that 9th round except some arm punches in the clinch -- clinches that Cotto controlled by the way.

Meanwhile Miguel snapped Margos head back several times with hooks, jabs and occasionally a lead left from the southpaw stance.

By "starting to turn", you mean "not taking quite as much of a butt kicking in the ninth as he was in the 8th", right?

Also, I never claimed that Margo didn't land anything. He certainly landed his share throughout the fight. In fact, he was only landing two less punches per round through the first half of the rematch than he did in the first fight. Cotto was indeed bruised up, because that's something he's susceptible to in his fights.

That's why he was a little banged up. But Cotto was landing more. Much more in some cases...like round 8, for example. And the fact that he was able to inflict damage on Margo consistently into the later rounds meant that a Margo surge was probably not all that likely.

Keep living denial all you want, you mother****ers are lucky they stopped it when they did, otherwise Cotto's ***** ass would have been on his knees again, and you all know it, but of course won't admit that to yourselves.:deal

The only difference being Margarito doing his impression of Forrest Whitaker.

Did Cotto tell the referee to stop the fight after the knee? Why wouldn't the Ref just give him an 8 count and score the Knockdown?

Makes me believe Cotto told the ref to stop it.

What's he supposed to do? Not throw head shots? Weird thread.

Imo Prime Cotto is capable of beating prime Margarito. He's the better boxer, he just needs a good training camp and good game plan.

All Cotto had to do was not take a knee and he would have won on points.

    Glass heart.
