If they separate the Pro's from the amateurs it could work.

Theres no such thing as "amateur" at the elite level anymore.

Everyone at the Olympics is a full time athlete who gets paid to fight.

There hasn't been true amateurism at the Olympics in about a decade.

All these guys fight in the WSB and APB.

    Theres no real delineation anymore

It's a shame that amateur boxing at the international level died.

I bet this move will turn off quite a few fans. For certain there are plenty who only watch amateur boxing because of how corrupt and disfunctional the pro system is.
At least on the amateur scene you have the knowledge of who is best.

    A very real scenario:

Deontay Wilder & Anthony Joshua both improved since the Olympics & almost certain to face each other for the Finals, without risking a loss on their Pro Record :think

most pros will get their asses kicked. They will be loading up trying to hurt their opponent while getting hit with pitter pat slaps that score points.

Most pros do not qualify to participate in the Olympics.

I beleive they can't a pro fight for like a year before the olympics and other limitations like that.

Not a fan of the suggestion, but if it is to be the case, I'd love to see PBF get his gold.
