No. There are a lot of relevant and fair points in a fantasy match. For example their prime weights and not anything like hay " i know that it was not his prime weight but he looked ripped at 220" what a stupid point.

I don't think Lyle holds any sort of advantage here.
I think Norton would win this, probably by mid-late KO.

I'll have Norton come in at 220 Lbs and slightly past prime like he was vs. Larry Holmes. You can have Lyle at his heaviest, lightest, or somewhere in between... I really don't care. Norton would still have a good chance at victory.

Lyle isn't George Foreman. Yes, he hurt and even dropped a post-Ali George Foreman but in the end Foreman KTFO of Lyle just like he did Frazier x2, Norton, and others. Lyle lasted longer! So what? So did Frazier in the rematch (which was also post-Ali). Maybe Norton could have lasted longer in a rematch with Foreman... especially if it was in '75 or '76 perhaps.

Norton was in 3 close fights with Ali, a close fight with Holmes, and a close fight with Young. He went just 2-3 in these fights but most of them could have went either way. Lyle went 0-3 vs. Ali and Young x2 and was even hurt and stopped by Ali (although a little prematurely IMO). It's relevant... it's not like I'm saying that Norton would win because he stopped Quarry in the 5th and Quarry beat Lyle by decision. Quarry was past his prime vs. Norton (but I do think Norton would have won anyway) and Lyle improved a bit after the loss to Quarry.

Norton was the more skilled fighter and I understand that you are not picking Lyle to outbox Norton. I also understand that Lyle has a good chance of stopping Norton... I just think Norton has a good chance of beating Lyle by decision in a tough fight.

Well... I respect your point of view

(There are worlds of difference between lasting longer and hurting and dropping your rival twice... Norton never ever could dream with hurting foreman)

Lol.. I train in both a health club AND a boxing gym and can run circles around your ass. At any rate those photos on that sticky thread haven't been accessible in years yet your profile says you've been here only two months - proving that you're a troll who's been banned and recycled from the trash

No, I don't believe any of that is true.
There's no evidence for any of it.

Lyle was one of the biggest misconceptions on boxing history. He is esteemed as a banger after all of these years, but was really more of a boxer.

Norton got bombed out by guys who came forward like trains, ****ey, Shavers, Foreman. Lyle wasn't that guy, and was an inferior fighter with bad stamina.

    Norton UD.
