I like, support and respect both fighters. Changing my mind. I get Hearn and Gallagher can be arrogant. B McGuigan the same but he is a legend, Frampton had always distanced himself Not only do I think Quigg will win, now I really want him to win. I'll be a Frampton supporter again after the fight but lost a lot of respect for Shane McGuigan and Frampton. Shane has been spouting all sorts of derogatory **** and Frampton seems to have developed sour g****s against Quigg. Really don't like the insult on intelligence. Quigg accepts he isn't an academic but he is a boxer, judge him by his boxing ability. Churlish. Worse still when you claim to be 'more cleverer'. Wtf. If you are going to start a row about intelligence, at least speak English.
Quigg is coming across to me as arrogant, Hearn is smug and arrogant in general in my opinion and Gallagher is ridiculously arrogant. I think the whole lot of them are arrogant, I include Frampton and his side too. The winner/winners on Saturday night will be unbearable for months, probably years.
I'm English and I used to really like Quigg but after Quigg held up that cheque with that stupid grin on his face I can't support him. That one act alone turned me, never again will I support him
I agree with you completely. What I can't understand is as a working class guy you would expect frampton to have friends from all walks of life. He must be insulting plenty of people playing the stupid card. He must have mates who aren't that bright. It's like fighting a black guy and using the n word then going home and wondering why none of your black mates will pick up to you
I haven't watched any of the build up so have no idea how anyone is coming across but for some reason I want Quigg to win this one.
A lot of you boys are being oversensitive flowers. ''I don't like x, because he said something bad'' What the **** do you think this is, gay sports? This is boxing, there is gonna be trash talking and disrespect when there is intense rivalry. If both camps were going into this fight as best buds it wouldn't generate as much hype. It's a business and controversial is good for business, not for false niceties.
Yep, they're all arrogant. If anything, Quigg is the one who's changed in the build up to the fight, probably as a result of Hearn and Gallagher spouting off in his ear.
I didn't think I'd be saying this, but Primal Sledge is right. A few years ago the two lads were sat on the same sofa being very complimentary about each other. Most of what we're seeing is BS to sell the fight. They'll be hugging like long lost bosom buddies once the final bell has gone (and the loser has come round a bit). I don't think either boxer is happy with the PR games they're having to play and that's the discomfort you see in their faces. They're both good, honest pros and I'd think they'd rather just shake hands, batter each other senseless for 12 rounds then go for a beer.
Agreed. For the most part it is the smugness of the McGuigans vs the arrogance of Gallagher and Fast Car.Of course, none of those creeps have to take a single shot to the chin.
I would love to see Shane punch that bellend Gallagher, he really is the biggest knacker in all of this.
