For IBF title fights, boxers are weighed again on the morning of the fight and must not weigh any more than 10lbs higher than the division upper limit. For super bantamweights Frampton and Quigg this would be 132lbs (9 stone 6 pounds).

For his seven title fights with the IBF (3 World title, and 4 Inter-Continental), Frampton has never failed to make the fight day limit, whereas Quigg has NEVER weighed in at 132lbs.

Following todays press conference, Shane McGuigan further clarified the re-hydration situation.

    To summarise:
    – Scott Quigg has

attempt to make the 132lb limit on Saturday morning.

    – If Quigg weighs in over the limit then it will just be the Englishman’s WBA title on the line and Frampton will retain his IBF win, lose or draw.

    :happy

    Ooooh!

No wonder Scott has always looked big at the weight!

Tell the trainee nutritionist we don't really care what he says anymore.

Plus when Quigg beats Frampton from pillar to post the IBF would declare their belt vacant.

Always really rated and liked Frampton from afar, but for this fight am dying for a Quigg win, Frampton comes across like a right fool and very scripted! If he is that good and confident in winning why get involved in dressing rooms etc. #teamquigg

    1. I doubt quigg would weigh more then 9st 6 on fight morning and if he does it would be that marginal he would be able to hold back on that last couple of lbs easily but I think much more than that and he would be sluggish anyway

    2. He may well think **** the ibf belt anyway and completely ignore this ruling

    3. Blatant attempt by the mcguigans to create some kind of worry for quigg but unfortunately he looks healthy and upbeat while frampton looks increasingly grey, drawn and agitated

    Wait ...it gets better:
Even IF Quigg can make the morning-of-the-fight limit of 132 he will still be snookered.

His plans to use his size as part of his ****nal will be gone out the window.

It will be too late by lunch-time Saturday to pile on more weight - even if it were physically possible it wouldnt help him in the fight - if anything quite the contrary.

In any case nerves alone would stop most guys from eating at that stage on fight day!

    Another case of "advantage Frampton"!!!

you are slowly making me not want to even watch this fight, your constant nonsensical posts about how Frampton is superior in every way or has gained another advantage is bordering on lunacy!! I've seen people on the wind up on here but you are either very bored in your life and this is the only way to amuse yourself or you need some serious help!!

I thought Frampton was the one struggling with the weight?

Nonsensical? What I am saying makes perfect sense and you know it, David.
Also I never said Frampton is 'superior in every way' as you suggest.
Point out how what I say is nonsense if you can!

    Not sure.
    Frampton has looked ill.
Plus read Johny Nelson's comments after the public spar the other day.
He has he couldn't get a sweat on, was bone dry & looked awful.

That coupled with his own comments after his last fight where he was talking of moving up.

Saying that I am amazed Quigg makes weight so easily compared to Carl, he looks massive by comparison.
