    You are actually embarrassing yourself.

November 86 to November 88 is 2 years, not one. Lalonde had 3 fights during that time and weighed 4 and a half, 6 and a half, and 5 and a half pounds more respectively.

Losing an extra 5 and a half pounds than his previous weigh in 6 months earlier from Lalonde's long slim frame, did him no favours. Furthermore of the 33 fights Lalonde had before Leonard he only weighed less than 172 in 9 of them. So much for your " Lalonde barely cracked 170 when he fought at Light Heavy."

However the point was Leonard wasn't even prepared to risk Donny coming in on the S / Middle limit of 168. Rather he demanded the Canadian weighed a max 167. If those facts bother you, well, sh it happens.:good

The enlarged is simply false. Mosley was way quicker than Forrest, and just like he negated Shane with the jab, so would Escopeta against Leonard, only easier and with greater power.

Oh yes they are. In both fights Duran was right in front of the other guy, and Hagler won, even if he did have to pull it out in the last couple of rounds. Leonard lost, because he couldn't handle the pressure Duran applied.

Don't forget SRL came off a long layoff.

I'd go for Leonard by SD. But it's a tough pick.

Now your making up nonsense. As many Kronk fighters I've watched over the yrs. As many Steward interviews I read and heard. He didn't give that praise to just anyone esp just because someone happened to defeat a fighter he trained. And the fact he watched Leonard up close and trained him during the Olympic trails . Well before the 1st fight with Hearns. But I know if God came off the mountain and told you Leonard was one of the greatest fighters in history, You and Red still wouldn't believe your own eyes. Its just your perception blinded by your dislike of Leonard. So as an example Hagler was old when Leonard fought him. But you two omit Leonard was coming off almost 4 yr layoff of partying and coke use to to fight a natural middleweight. Only thing I say is be real. And theirs plenty of film on YouTube to watch of this man in the prime of his career that would show any reasonable fight fan he was a super talent. A once in a generation talent. Did he squander a good portion of his best fighting yrs. Yes he did. Was he arragant as hell? Of course he was. (But most great fighters are). Could he have defeated Monzon. I do believe he could've as long as he didn't go Montreal mode. Box from a safe distance win the dec.

I think Ray is getting sold a little short here, and I never thought I'd say that. He'd make Monzon look as slow as molasses in January. He has the decided speed of hand and foot advantage. He could certainly pull off a decision win. I'd slightly favor Monzon, but SRL is certainly live in my book

This is how I see it...Leonard is a live ATG underdog, and very capable.

Almost as likely as Leonard stopping Monzon in the 1st round. Some are so dumb they don't know how stupid they sound.

you are obssesed defending a laughable Víctory of leonard on this thread... It says a lot about the poor chance that leonard actually has here

Leonard next to monzón would be nothing but a little fragile welter with face of baby running to survive,
    2 options

1- he runs all the fight and loses by decisión for coward

2- he trades with Carlos in some point and he gets stopped.

    Anyway he loses

Monzon wins but Leonard is a live underdog seems to be more or less the flow of the thread.

Did you really need to waffle on that long to prove you are a Leonard fanboy? Nobody is denying Leonard had great talent, but not at 160 or higher, hence fighting guys that were well past their best, weight stips or ducking them altogether.

Those are the facts, nothing to do with god and mountains.
