will this effect Quigg as he wont be able to fuel up like perhaps he has done in the past.

Pretty sure the WBA do not have this rule so he won't of had to do this before.

10lbs is the maximum I understand. Anymore and the IBF strap stays with Carl win/lose/draw

Ok ill let you off this time....

Here it is again especially for you:

For IBF title fights, boxers are weighed again on the morning of the fight and must not weigh any more than 10lbs higher than the division upper limit. For super bantamweights Frampton and Quigg this would be 132lbs (9 stone 6 pounds).

For his seven title fights with the IBF (3 World title, and 4 Inter-Continental), Frampton has never failed to make the fight day limit, whereas Quigg has NEVER weighed in at 132lbs.

Following todays press conference, Shane McGuigan further clarified the re-hydration situation.

    To summarise:
    – Scott Quigg has one attempt to make the 132lb limit on Saturday morning.

    – If Quigg weighs in over the limit then it will just be the Englishman’s WBA title on the line and Frampton will retain his IBF win, lose or draw.

Has Scott Quigg ever TRIED to weigh in at 132 on fight day?

No but it isnt hard to make the morning weigh. What is hard is doing it correctly so that your fully recovered and hydrated to fight a tough 12 rdr.

Be fair - you're the one trying to make hay with the fact that he's never done it.

The fact that he's never had to try to make that weight would, I would suggest, be relevant to the discussion.

I wonder why you would not include that relevant fact in your discussion.

Unless you had an agenda, of course ....

Why would he? (only the IBF enforce this rule - Quigg is not an IBF champ - so WHY WOULD HE????)

    HE WOULDN'T.

But you're the one trying to make a problem with the fact that he hasn't done it.

What's your beef? He hasn't ever done it cos he's never had to. Why's that a problem for a pro team with adequate notice?
