Already, I can see it's a pretty bad list. Stiverne too high and Pulev too low.

Parker and Glazkov laughably high. Chagaev is too low. When was the last update, and also, are they using a weird ranking system where they combine all the belt rankings together or something?

    That list is pretty bad.

Used to be IWBR. Independent World Boxing Rankings.

The ratings are calculated by the man that beat the man. Chagaev has not beaten a good fighter for nearly 10 years. Pulev has not beaten even an average fighter for 30 months. Stiverne has, and his only loss was on points to Wilder. With the guidance of the Association of boxing commissions and the US government we forged the system that fighters lost points/ranking for not facing a ranked fighter in a time sequence (18 months). This was stop fighters that just sit on a rating.
Parker and Glazkov have fought reasonable fighters hence their position.
We can over-ride bad calls hence Glazkov and Martin was treated as a NC for the purpose of rating as it was on an injury not caused by the fight. Chudinov remains above Sturm. The fight was scored as if Chudinov won for the purpose of ranking.
Fighters might get one or two places out but it reflects achievement in the ring favoured to recent but not entirely disregarding yesteryears.

I love the thing where they show the ranking of the opponents they beat, which kinda "exposes" a couple of pretenders, and shows that some "bums" actually have very decent resumes.

Although I rate him, it also shows that a guy like Joshua is ranked pretty high in these rankings while only 3 of his opponents were borderline top50, and one at #36. And Wlad's resume miles above everyone at the weight (obviously) followed at a big distance by Povetkin after who there's another big gap.

You guys don't even seem to follow your own rules. How is Dominick Wade above Sam Soliman when 99% know that Wade robbed him?

Daniel Geale at #3 at MW? :verysad

    Terrible list, man.

Yes, the name change really points to that... There are too many belts as it is, shattering the talent to not fight eachother.

You obviously don't understand much. No list is going to agree with everyone.
Geale lost to Cotto and Golovkin, he is moving down now due to non-compliance and will be #5 next month. You need to make the case why someone else should be higher. The rankings are based on who beat who, not on what you think. If you can pick 50 flaws that dont concurr with a genuine consensus then fair enough, but citing Chagaev because he was a good fighter in 2007 won't cut it.
Wade-Soliman was much closer than the Sturm-Chudinov robbery. What we don't do is break rules.

Wade-Soliman was a clear robbery. You just broke your own damn rules. Terrible, terrible list.

Oh, it wasn't as bad as Sturm/Chudinov so we can still rank Wade higher than Soliman. :rofl

Dude is a fraud and his list sucks.

Because the list makers break their own rules and suck at ranking fighters.
