    Over at the scene..

Rigonduck said he will be willing to move up to 126lbs to fight Leo Santa Cruz.
This comes just days after it was revealed Lomachenko will most likely be moving up to 130lbs to chase a fight with a huge guy with a monster punch.

    To sum up Rigondeaux's duck:
    1. Lomachenko called for the fight on instagram
    2. Rigondeaux agreed and was ok with the split with the winner earning $1m.
    3. Rigondeaux requested Lomachenko at 124lbs, and eventually 126lbs with a rehydration clause. Lomachenko didn't accept as he would be too drained at 124lbs (Loma was 132lbs in the Olympics 2012)
    4. Rigondeaux ACCEPTED the 126lb fight with a rehydration clause of 137lbs.
    5. Just as it was about to be finalised, Rigondeaux pulled out.
    6. Rigondeaux first blamed it on money, then he comes clean and says it's about the weight. He wants Lomachenko at 124lbs KNOWING LOMA CAN'T MAKE THE WEIGHT.
    7. Rigondeaux now states he will be willing to move up to 126lbs to fight a physically bigger guy than Lomachenko in Santa Cruz.

Cruz is an easier opponent than Loma so theres nothing wrong with Rigo wanting more money or a weight favor to fight Loma so long as he's not in his weight class. A fighter isn't obligated to fight another fighter in a different weight class unless thats the weight class they should be at and they're killing themselves to stay out of it.

GGG is a different person to Lomachenko, did you know this?

Rigonduck's situation is far more embarrassing for the following reasons:
    1. Rigondeaux AGREED to everything, and then bounced out, and tried to lie saying that he wasn't offered enough (when the proof to our amusement was for all to see on Insta), then admitted his overwhelming fear in facing a 126lb Loma.

    2. Rigondeaux is a VERY defensive fighter. They rise up the weight classes far better. Golovkin would have been up against a big super middleweight in Ward.

    3. Now Rigo is chasing LSC at 126lbs who's bigger than Loma.

    Anyway, Ward >>>>>> GGG.

    Rigonduck been ducking.

Ward brought no money so there was no incentive to fight him at 168 like there was for Froch and Chavez.

lol Rigondeaux actually originally said winner takes all ($1m). Lomachenko agreed. But then Egis Klimas offered a better financial situation. Both get $500k regardless and winner gets an extra $1m!
Rigondeaux went on to reject it.

On another note, I don't underrate him. GGG is one of the Greats at 160lbs IMO and he'll prove this further.
Regardless, Ward would have definitely beaten GGG.

I like Golovkin so don't take this wrong, but it can still be considered a "duck" by Golovkin, just for financial reasons. Other fighters would be "slaughtered" by fans. Personally, I think Golovkin should focus on 160 for a little while longer and should've never entertained or opened his mouth about 168. So I wouldn't say he ducked Ward but he shouldn't have entertained 168 because that's how the whole mess started.
