Khan stated he would follow the Mayweather blueprint to beat Canelo. Canelo thinks he's learned how not to lose 12 rounds out of 12 against an elite boxer. Lol. Canelo is clearly going to win by devastating KO, but he's not going to outbox him before doing so.
He's saying that Khan isn't good enough to do what Mayweather did. Besides, Canelo IS a superior boxer than Khan.
canelol maybe a better boxer in parts, but a lot of what i've seen id say he is a worse boxer too, but that fight seriously made canelo look bad so why wouldn't you want to base your fight on that game plan
That's not what he said. He said he's now good enough to deal with that style - ie he thinks he'd probably fair better against Mayweather himself. He wouldn't, obviously.
You think Canelo has improved enough to win a fight against someone successfully boxing like Mayweather?
Khan can't imitate Mayweather, let alone fight like him. All Khan has in his fight is what he has had throughout his entire career, speed. His speed will help him look flashy and competitive early, but as soon as he slows down, everything will go downhill. Finally learning to hold on when hurt will keep him in there longer than expect and possibly the full distance.
Boxing like Mayweather is one thing but the key is to think like Mayweather in the ring. Khan don't have that skill. I wish him well and truly hope that he prevails because Canelo just don't impress me.
Sure, Saul Alvarez isn't a 21 year old contender kid anymore facing the top P4P champion veteran. But more importantly, if you want to have any credibility you can retract your comment insinuating Canelo lost every round, because that simply was not the case, and if you truly believe an argument can be made for Mayweather winning every round then you have some kind of bias or need to follow another sport you'll understand better.
No he wouldn't, he's the same Canelo that fought Mayweather the first time. Mayweather would beat his fat ass again. He hasn't improved one bit since the Mayweather fight. What he did was to pick his opponents carefully. At least Oscar has on his behalf. Anguelo, slow, pondering, punching bag. Lara, a mistake, Canelo lost that fight, he knows it and Oscar knows it. They learned their lesson on that and will never go Lara's way again. They instead drug Kirkland straight outta the dope house and into the boxing ring and tried to make it look legit. Now, on paper, Cotto looked like a good fight but Canelo had all the odds, he had youth, speed, size and power. Cotto was a bird's nest on the ground. Instead of standing up like a real one and fighting GGG, Oscar's gay ass calls up Khan. Again, they feel like they have the major advantages but I hope Khan shocks the nation and beat the brakes off his fat ass.
He won 1 or 2 rounds, at the most. I don't think that's a scorecard different to anyone with any sensibility in scoring had. At the time, the average scorecard of press scoring the fight (among 86 scorecads) was 119-109. Meaning most only gave him 1 round.
