No sir. Not at all true.

The next morning after Walters blew weight by 1 pound against Marriaga, Team Lomachenko made a press release about how they will not fight Walters because he may not make weight against them and they weren't willing to take that chance. The very next morning. Don't believe it, look it up.

Moot now. Nobody scored Walters' last fight a Draw other than the two drunk, paid off judges ringside that night. So it's a great one. Pumped for this fight. Respect to the victor.

Massive fight. Respect to Loma for taking this fight but I think Walters takes this(but wouldn't be surprised if Loma wins). Agree with everyone saying more fighters should take fights like this for the fans.:good

I also have a feeling Walters will win this. I don't understand why everything thinks this will be so one sided for Loma.

I'll be rooting for Loma all the way though.

Lomachenko is superior in every way, and has far more experience against top opposition. He's beaten plenty of guys bigger and better than Walters when he was a 60kg amateur. He is so far ahead of Walters in every aspect of boxing, apart from maybe power. Walters has a punchers chance and that's it. Hitting Lomachenko clean is one thing, and Lomachenko has never been hurt.

Of course not, Walters just claimed that Lomachenko the title holder wasn't a worthy opponent, and then when the fight was lined up Walters suddenly couldn't make weight in the division he'd always fought at. Right......

Guys, I wish that you would stop lying to boxing fans. It's pathetic that you clowns would even attempt to go this route, lmao. We call it the Matthysse Garcia Syndrome. Say a guy ducks a guy until the fight is made, and eat crow. Foh...

Let's not forget that at the time when Walters did have the belt, Lomachenko was all up for the fight.

Walters, on the other hand, said that he would prefer other champions because Lomachenko hasn't proven himself. Those words came out of Walters' mouth while he still owned the WBA belt.

    Let's not forget that.

Loma and Walters are the same height although Walters has about an eight inch reach advantage. Moving up to 130 is no great issue for Loma. He had the discipline to maintain at 126 but actually he was out growing it. People act like he is giving up a lot but actually he is not. He has better skills than Walters and he is not feather fisted so it will be a good fight and a fight that should happen.

Is anything I said not 100% true, backed up by the FACTS?
Lomachenko has chased him up to 130 even though there is no belt on the line. Walters can't escape now! Hell, maybe he'll claim that he's outgrown 130 to continue his ducking..... I'll believe the fight is actually happening when Walters is standing in the ring.

I think this can be a fight of the year candidate. Props to both fighters for making this fight happen.

Walters just realized he has no power at Super Featherweight he's the FW equivalent of Julio Jr, he realized it was only a matter of time before he gets KTFO, either by Uchiyama, Miura, Valdez, Vargas or maybe even Salido. So he took the fight that'll most likely make him the most money, and if he loses to Loma at least he'll be able to use the excuse of "It's no big deal I lost to the best" to get himself another high profile fight.

There's a strong possibility Loma makes Walters look an absolute clown.

    Actually it is.

In Nov 2014 Walters turned down unification when they both had belts and were both in the same weight class claiming Lomachenko wasn't a big enough name. B-seen it.

Lomachenko said he wasn't interested in Walters after he no longer had a title and wasn't in his weightclass yet Walters fans ignore the first incident and claim Lomachenko is a ducker when he will have fought Salido, Russell, Walters and tried to get Rigo in his first 6 fights. You can't make this stuff up folks, only in boxing.

P.S. Rigo now says he'll go to 126 for LSC
