If the rumours are true, from what I've been told is that McGuigan used to check under his bed for Azumah every night before he went to sleep. It's not hard to work out who wins this one. Poor little Barry gets a massive beatdown.

The poll has got it right. It is hard to envisage a scenario where Barry could win in this matchup. That pressure style of his is exactly the wrong way to face Zoom-Zoom. I have to agree with the majority here - McGuigan would be completely outgunned in this one - Azumah is physically stronger, hits harder, has a great chin, is teak tough, has far superior boxing skills and is very much a complete fighter. It would have been an absolute beating for as long as it lasts although McGuigan is a tough, brave man and would probably ship a career-ending type of punishment.

I doubt Barry would make it past 6. Nelson was a machine.

Slightly odd comment.... he lost to Mcdonnell due to a cut early in the fight and he fought Cruz in a 43 degree heat (a pasty white Irishman going 15 rounds in the intense desert heat...).

Not trying to make excuses for McGuigan by any means, but there was more to it than meets the eye with those 2 defeats.
