I've been on this forum for well over a decade and never done a ban bet, but in this fight I can't see how AJ will lose barring another freak accident like Glazkov. Quite a few have come on predicting a Martin win yet only one person so far has the conviction to back up their opinion.
Has anyone actually seen Martin get hit on the chin yet? From the limited footage I've seen of him he definitely looks like he packs a big punch with that left hand of his and obviously he's a huge guy and a southpaw to boot but has he proven he can at least withstand a solid whack on the whiskers?
I've not seen any footage of him getting hit cleanly. Even if he had he hasn't fought anyone that could be regarded as a good puncher. Zumbano Love has the highest KO ratio of any opponent he's fought, so either he or Glazkov are the best punchers he's fought to date. Nobody he's faced so far had power that could compare to Joshua's. As for his power, it seems good, though against very low level opposition. Zumbano Love is probably the most durable guy he's fought so far and it took him 10 rounds to get the stoppage and he literally threw the kitchen sink at him to force a stoppage.
That's why he's going to win, he never gets hit on the chin.:deal And that's for a good reason, because he doesn't allow his opponents to hit him cleanly.
That's a bit worrying. Everytime I've seen Zumbano Love fight I recall thinking to myself that he's A. very tough and durable and can soak up a hell of a beating, and B. that he has zero punching power. He's basically a walking punch bag.
Maybe. I honestly haven't seen enough of him to form a solid opinion as of yet but I do have a sneaky feeling he's better than many make out he is.
Glazkov is no pudding. People seem to be ignoring the stuff that happened up to the point Glazkov had a mechanical failure. Martin was winning, and Glazkov has wins against Steve Cunningham, Tomasz Adamek and a draw against Malik Scott. GLAZKOV has a better record than Joshua, I think it's not unfair to say Martin assimilates the worth of that record ++
Underrate Martin at your own peril.:-( So many posters on this site will have egg on their faces come April 10th.
