Undisputed Title compared to Lineal what means more? The Undisputed Champ becomes Lineal anyway after they start stripping the ABC titles so what is the argument. If you want big fights well you shouldn't have ducked Ward, if you want to unify all titles stop stepping aside You can't have it both ways either push for the unification when its presented or take the big fight when its there. A lot if the debates with GGG change depending on the fighter, I pop up Golovkin threads because he is a big talking point. When he first popped on the secne I bought into all the talk, and 3/4 years later I'm still waiting for it to be proven just a bit. Now your probably gonna say well none wants to fight him and again my reply would be side stepped Cotto twice and now Canelo and flat out ducked Ward and Lara
The Great Ricky Hatton used to walk around the Light Heavyweight limit, was an Excellent Champion at 140 & below average Champion at 147 Every fighter is best at his lowest fighting weight, no excuse to get fat & out of shape between fights...other than lack of discipline
Quite simply if he "isn't a middleweight" then the fraud needs to stop walking round calling himself a world middleweight champion then trying to cheat by not giving anyone a shot at his paper title unless they weigh in at virtually junior middleweight.
It's pretty obvious he is a Super-welterweight. Fighting Khan who is a welterweight for the WBC middleweight title has disgraced that organisation.
Well then, Canelo should drop the Middleweight title immediately and stop pretending to be Middleweight Champion? I think most of us agree. And we all don't agree on much.
I just saw the full quote why doesn't anyone mention that Alvarez stated he wanted to make the Khan fight at JMW for a JMW title. And GB are the reason the MW title is on the line
So Canelo wanted to fight welterweight Khan for the vacant WBC junior-middle strap even though neither of them are ranked at that weight and Khan has never fought there? That's how he won his first world title, he was matched up against another English welterweight Matthew Hatton who wasn't ranked at 154 for the vacant WBC junior-middle strap. Canelo hasn't fought at junior-middle for 2.5 years and like I said Khan has never fought at that weight.
Make it at 157 then. I'm sure GGG would do that in a heart beat but Canelo won't. He just doesn't want to fight him and can't really blame him, his career would suffer and may never be the same if they met.
That is true also. These guys want to get a belt at mw then not face the man who rules the division, and wonder why the man is calling them out.
Canelo is a scumbag! Nothing he says makes sense, none of it. He's hogging the WBC belt like crazy, refuses to drop it then when confronted to fight his mando he acts all confused and dumbfounded.
