Exactly. Floyd is outside of his depth in the amateurs. He's not a true winner. Winners go out of their way to fight the best, even if the situation doesn't favour them. No man is a true champion if he doesn't fight the best.
Hard work. Medication. A good Duck Adivsory team.

It is argued that on an even playing field, he'd be 0-0-0-49. 49 No Contests - because of doping bans.

If Mayweather retired at 20-0, for the average guy he certainly has earned more than enough in his career. All of that hard work paid off, we would say.

But when it comes to the winners of this world, he is expected to do more. Such a title doesn't come lightly.

Mayweather's amateur losses - some guy from the net knows a lot about him from Quora and basically says he has 8 losses and basically says:
    He
    This content is protected
a decision in the '96 Olympic semis to a Bulgarian.

    He
    This content is protected
to Augie Sanchez in a very close decision in the qualifiers, but beat Sanchez twice that same month to earn a spot on the Olympic team.

    In December 1995 he
    This content is protected
to a Georgian named Trigran Oezlian in what appears to have been the first round of a tournament by walkover. Essentially forfeit, and I'm not sure of the circumstances.

In May of that year, he
    This content is protected
to an Algerian named Nouredine Medjihoud 8 points to 6 in the World Championships. That same month, he had
    This content is protected
to Juan Carlos Ramirez in a USA vs. Mexico event. At some point that same year, he also
    This content is protected
to fellow American Carlos Navarro and apparently failed to qualify for the Pan Am games in doing so.

    He
    This content is protected
a decision 2 rounds to 1 against Juan Martin Castillo in another US vs. Mexico event in November 1994 in Vegas. Also in '94, he
    This content is protected
a Jr. National Tournament match to Arnulfo Bravo, and settled for the bronze.

    This content is protected
if you count the walkover, which I don't think most sources do.

Yeah fight for free in the amateurs to a guy who gets atleast 50 million a fight with no left to prove who's almost 40. Yeah that makes a lot of sense. What's next? Hopkins is ducking the amateurs? What about JMM?:rofl:lol: Log off.

One of the guys who beat Mayweather TWICE, NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE. Mayweather ducked him throughout his whole career and no one said a thing. The truth is coming out!

Rigondeaux already proved he is a great boxer before he even turned pro! Likewise for Gennady Golovkin.

Money doesn't make you a better fighter.

Martin Castillo was a very good pro fighter in his day underrated if anything. You probably have never seen him in the ring.

Ooooooohhhhhhh GGG won a silver in the Olympics and PBF won a bronze but was robbed I might add. GGG has done little in the pro game and his resume and accomplishments are 100000000 light years behind PBF. There's nothing he can do at this late stage of his career that would even put him in the same Galaxy as PBF. Hell he won't even fight Ward.

I don't care if he was Jose Napoles, Mayweather still lost twice in the amateurs to this flyweight. There are several blueprints on how to beat Mayweather and that's why Mayweather wants no part of fighting the best like in amateurs, it will expose him.

Mayweather has Nouredine Medjihoud problems, and you expect him to beat current World Amateur Champion Mohammed Rabii for example?
Stay retired, Mayweather. Fighting for a whole week non-stop can dehydrate you too much.

You may not add he was 'robbed'. Mayweather officially lost to Todorov.

GGG already proved something that Mayweather couldn't in the amateurs, GGG proved that he can consistently medal at the highest level. Mayweather couldn't. GGG proved he's a legit ATG boxer before he even turned pro.

Andre Ward, son of the Irish American, Frank Ward, is better than GGG...and what?
