What's your take on PPV after Saturday?

Final straw for me

 

I didn't buy it. I thought long and hard and decided not to. I still haven't seen the fight (although I gather I didn't miss much).

Yes, I could have watched on a stream, but I didn't because I'm not a thief.

PPV needs to take a good look at itself.

 

It's the first PPV I've paid for since Hatton v Pacquaio and won't be buying one again.

It's a disgrace that they've had Joshua on there fighting bums.

 

I will continue to support British boxing by paying money to watch these super-fights on Sky Box Office. All the best.

 

Didn't buy, no intention of paying even more unless it's a fight I'm hugely interested in.

Same old cac people moan about it but sone always end up caving and ordering the fight.

I've been done with PPV for a while. Outside of Fury winning the last PPV I ordered was probably Haye - Klitschko.

 

Necessary for the top fights but will now be used by Sky/Hearn to save/make money off his dates.

If Wlad/Fury doesn't happen this summer then expect something like Selby/Warrington on PPV.

 

The Fury PPV killed it for me. One of the worst cards ever on Sky PPV topped off with an awful main card fight.

 

I have only joint paid for 1 PPV and that was chipping in for Mayweather - Pacquiao.

I always watch boxing either in t'pub, illegally streamed at home or on youtube the day(s) after.

Literally couldn't give a $hit about paying Sky or any one else vastly richer than me for what is most of the time, over-valued product.

If people are into boxing, they'll box and I'll enjoy watching. Couldn't care less if people can make a living out of it or not. It's punching an opponent in the face ffs, not like these heroes are making the world a better place.

Today's era of sports millionaires is utterly weird and I'm no supporter of PPV/buying tickets for sports. (Apart from May-Pac as I've said)

 

I think pay per view is fair enough and usually I just pay up.

 

What percentage to fighters get from ppv

 

TBH PPVs suit me financially.. ok more and more ways of getting sky sports for one night now.. just saying..

If boxers wanna make money for my £15.. that's ok..

 

These days the fighter will make the same if not more than a promoter.. like a partner or something..

 

The 2 promoters and the cable company will work as 3 partners..

In the old days the promoter was bigger than the fighter..


But today the fighter is bigger than the promoter..

 

Tricky to say but typically Sky keep half of the fee and Hearn/Matchroom keeps the other half.
