Teslenko is a good prospect. I'm definitely keeping my eye on him.

Well he did get the W of that guy with 39 losses by DQ, so… probably.

I think everybody missed that; it was on the Stevenson vs. Karpency undercard but not on the portion that was televised. :conf

(the broadcast on Spike in the US began with Errol Spence Jr. vs. Chris van Heerden; the earlier card might've been shown on Indigo TV in Canada)

Really didn't expect Spence to stop Van Heerden. That was so impressive to me.

Yeah, that stole the show but that and the main event were all I can remember anyone talking about.

Nobody even mentioned Teslenko in the RBR thread (I did a search for his name) so even if some people did watch the full card on Indigo, they didn't pipe up about it.

Teslenko's has never been dropped on this forum until this very thread, actually.

    How were his amateur credentials?

No clue, never kept up with him. I saw a thread in the European section and it seems like not many of them knew much of him either. :think

Oleksandr “Sasha” Teslenko was born to Sergei and Olen Teslenko on July 16, 1992, in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. Teslenko stands 6’4” tall and weighing in the neighbourhood of 220 lbs. Only 23 years of age, Teslenko has youth on his side and can afford to take the time to develop his boxing talents in the ring. Teslenko started boxing in the Ukraine at the tender young age of seven in 1999. He had over 247 amateur fights of which he won 224.

Strange he never generated any buzz then. I'd have figured someone in the Euro sub-forum would've posted a heads-up thread about him as they do for big EE amateur prospects in the pipeline.

He was a solid amateur but was not #1 at his weight in Ukraine. So he was not a star and he also emigrated to Canada few years ago. Now he fights out of Toronto.
