So, kind of Kovalev syndrome? Obscured behind countrymen with heavier backing making getting noticed difficult?

Pretty good fighter, a bit rigid though, he needs to learn proper technique to punch harder and set such shots up with his footwork, there's something a little too passive about him right now.

As of right now, Teslenko should set his sights on an eliminator with Nichols to earn mandatory status vs Wilder

I don't know. Kovalev should have been ahead of Beterbiev in the amateurs, but for some strange reason Beterbiev was considered a better prospect, and the money was put behind him. Kovalev was even robbed when they fought (24:25...). I am not sure if the same thing happened to Teslenko in Ukraine.

BS. Beterbiev beat him twice, it's easy to claim you beat someone when there's no footage. Beterbiev got the decision, twice.
Kovalev was consistently the ugly duckling who couldn't get past the elites.
Beterbiev was just the better amateur, that's fact. He also proved to be the more devastating puncher.

I'm taking the credit..I'm the person who brought him to the attention of this forum trust me :). He was completely under the radar surprisingly.. But as you can see he's better than 99% of the other Heavyweight prospects - fact.

So how do you know that is bull**** when you didn't watch the footage? Because let me tell you there is a footage and it was uploaded on Russian boxing websites. Kovalev was leading 24:20 in the beginning of the last minute but somehow the final score was 24:25... That's all I need to say. Boxing is just as corrupt as politics.

I am searching for it, it was in the semi-finals of the qualification for the World Championship, 2007, Yakutsk. I have only found the final bout so far, Beterbiev vs Makarenko, but the Kovalev - Beterbiev fight gotta be up somewhere as well, it was on Russian TV.
