Choose a weight if you like, I think best matchup is at super middleweight. Pick yer winner, Jones or Greb, and let the debate begin.

Too bad no real fight film on Greb. He was Tunney's equal until Tunney began to grow to full-size Lt. Hvy...on the way to heavyweight. Sparred with Dempsey, and Dempsey was impressed with his speed. Beat the great WW heavy hitter Mickey Walker..then "supposedly" they went outside postfight at a party and did it again.

RJJ is an all-time great too. If, Greb's non-stop aggression neutralizes RJJ's speed then Greb wins.

At 15 rounds, Greb wins. At 12 rounds, RJJ wins. Both decision type results.

When people talk about the early Greb V Tunney bouts they usually mention Tunney "grew" but never mention that Tunney was not in prime yet, quite a way from it probably, he was always a man with a bigger frame,,, or bigger boned than Greb,
I find this matchup involves a hell of a lot of guessing, I lean towards Jones atm, not purely because of speed but all round abilities, I think he neutralizes a lot of Greb's aggression and makes him miss a real lot. Maybe Jones will find Greb very awkward having never seen a style like it or really ever seeing anyone's style from 90 years ago but Harry will be surprised too by Jones, a style Harry probably never saw in almost 300 fights so it's a fascinating clash of styles.

Roy 'supermans' in a few left hooks and puts Greb to sleep!

Not fair on Greb to match him this way, Greb's career is light years ahead in terms of accomplishment but he can't hang with a roided RJJ surely.

No pedestal. And I don't always agree with him. And he's a bit off his rocker.

But he's done far more research and put together a better result than anyone here but Adam.

Again, if you think you are half the researcher, show me your book. I will read it.

The funny thing is that Greg can troll me all he wants. He and his equally loony pal Greg Speciale the vaunted USMC toughguy, can post all of the lies they want about my book masquerading as reviews on amazon. He can follow me around the internet on facebook, boxrec, here etc all he wants. At the end of the day he knows three things: 1. Nobody posts cares about discussing his hero Darcy so its not even worthwhile for him to post a worthless mythical matchup of Darcy vs Jones because everyone knows Jones would have stopped Darcy easily, likely with the same bodyshot that he stopped Hill with (seeing as how based on the Smith fights Darcy couldnt take it to the body) 2. Its not me following Greg around the net because I dont care anything about him. Hes worthless and not worth wasting my time on. Apparently Im special enough to be his obsession. Not the other way around. 2. I'll be ****ing on his grave and toasting Greb's greatness long after his miserable worthless ass is gone.

It is a very interesting match up especially since Greb was not a big puncher .. the pace would be interesting as Jones was a master of controlling his and so was Greb .. just not sure ..

Obviously Greb is the ultimate winner, because he accomplished more in some years, than Jones accomplished in his entire career.

Could Jones beat him based upon what we know?

Potentially he might, because he is strong on some of the areas where Greb could usually assume and advantage.

Based on what we know, we have to go with Greb.
