Roy Jones Jr. vs Old Foreman

Tommy barely won that fight. I scored it extremely close and Tommy was basically running half the time. Not exactly an emphatic victory.

Pierre Coetzer, a guy who was solid but no world beater, was trouncing 90's Foreman until he got caught. Roy is levels faster than him. I could see him outspeed 90's Foreman - whether he could do it all night is debatable but in my view, possible. 54 year old Foreman who hasn't fought for years would 100% get clowned imo.

Guys like F&D need to let go of the testes and come back to earth.

 

I haven't seen it for a while but my memory is that Foreman absolutely destroyed Coetzer.

Pierre may have landed a few shots but George floored him early, busted him up and was in total, total control. As a matter of fact from memory George beat Coetzer more convincingly than Rid**** Bowe did (Bowe had to resort to dirty tactics when Pierre wouldn't fall over as was his wont).

I'll watch it again but I don't think it was remotely close dude.

yes, just a little factor, foreman did hit x4 harder than tarver and he would not need a solid shot to put glass jones to sleep

 

I think Tarver is perfectly capable of knocking out anyone old Foreman did.

Tarver at his best was definitely capable of knocking out Moorer. He wouldn't be favored to win, but then again neither would Foreman in the rematch he ran from.

Rodriguez and shot ****ey had all sorts of durability issues. ****ey would not make it 12 with Tarver, nor any other capable boxer with half decent power at that point in his career.

Coetzer and that other guy have mostly slipped under my radar because they were irrelevant to heavyweight boxing, other than Pierre getting his ass kicked by Bowe, so I can't comment on them.

Jones has to be in range to punch and more importantly - land. He hasn't the reach to out box George.

As soon as he steps inside the wheelhouse , the medics will be unfolding the gurney.

 

Does Foreman KO 60 year old Balboa though? Tarver dropped him twice, his punching is every bit as good as Creed, Drago even Langs
