Fighting at 170 wasn't a big deal. diaz fights lower than 170. Neither just cut weight. Idk why everyone makes a hell deal that Diaz was massive compared. They both prolly weigh near the same on fight night normally

Mcgregor gave away all his advantages that he has at 145. Which is speed, height, reach, and power.

Diaz is one of the most versatile MMA fighters and can actually box. Mcgregor kept his hands down not expecting to be jabbed in the face.

Mcgregor bit off more than he can chew, got too ****y and believed his own hype. Knocking out Jose Aldo in 9 seconds was probably great and bad for his career. His hype went through the roof, but he believed it in and got ****y.

 

Mayweather went from 147 to 154. Not 170.

 

Were they not roughly the same weight on fight night though? Think there was only 1lb in it
