This is almost meaningless and largely untrue!
Margarito DOES have a good jab, Margarito is a better operator on the inside than Maidana. Margarito is a good body puncher whereas Maidana has always been more of a headhunter (which is not as helpful vs Mayweather who is very hard to catch on the head).

Mayweather athletically looked not just very good but outstanding vs Canelo. This was Mayweather not just older, but at light middleweight.

PBF has an ATG gas tank, but that's not my point. My point is that Margarito has an ATG gas tank. Mayweather-past prime DLH was very close until DLH as usual gassed out, Mayweather IMO took the last four rounds.
Maidana also gassed out during the Maywewather fight, and has a reputation for not having a great gas tank. Margarito however provides non-stop onslaught.
Margarito also forces his opponents to the ropes a LOT, whereas Mayweather struggles most there.

None of this is an attack on Mayweather. For great boxers like Mayweather and my boy Lomachenko, they both suffer the same stylistic threat - those HUGE relentless aggressive rough fighters. Mayweather earned his respect for beating Maidana and Castillo soundly in his rematches with them.
The Mayweathers and Lomachenko's of this world can look GOAT like against other styles, but how good they are vs major stylistic threats is something to consider. Castillo, Margarito, Maidana aren't even ATGs in any way either.

Yet punchers love swarmers. Rule number 1 in boxing is you don't swarm a puncher. That's why a guy like Duran was destroyed so easily by Hearns.
