Mosley and Pacquiao dominated Margarito. The only two fighters to have done that to a healthy Margarito.

Both those fighters though threw a lot of punches and kept themselves very busy during the course of the fight.
Mayweather doesn't bring that. He shells up and rolls with the punches coming at him.
A prime Margarito who throws 100 punches a round and doesn't much care if he's taking punches. He'd be a stylistic nightmare for a fighter like Mayweather who shells up and looks to potshot here and there.

That shoulder roll by Mayweather wouldn't work with Margarito because Margarito is not one to take aim at the face of a fighter.
Margarito aims for anything above the waist. Missection, arms, elbows, shoulders, etc.

Margarito just works and works and works and unlike most Mayweather opponents except Castillo who arguably beat Mayweather, Margarito goes to the damn body and goes there hard and relentlessly.
A past it Margarito hurt Manny Pacquiao bad to the body. Bad enough Pacquiao required medical attention and checked himself into a hospital.

Pacquiao is a tougher fight for Margarito because Pacquiao is southpaw who darts in and out and like Margarito can go all day throwing punches.
Mayweather isn't that type of fighters.

Imo Mayweather is great against the typical aim at the head fighter who is weary of getting hit back on the counter.
That isn't Margarito and I've said for as long as I've been a member of this forum that would spell big problems for a fighter of Mayweather's style.


Imo a prime Antonio Margarito outhustles and beats Mayweather in a close fight. Mayweather is to cautious and defensive to get knocked out, so I think Margarito just outworks him in a sloppy type of a fight where Mayweather just is more inactive than usual, which is saying a lot as we all know activity isn't Mayweather's forte.
