    If his eye is ok, his less than perfect performance would be best described as rusty, not shot.

    Like to see him again before summer vs someone a little closer to contention.
    Maybe, Ortiz, or even Jan Zaveck.

    Could set up a 3rd installment vs Cotto or a nice little fight with Lara.

    Position him into contention, and he's a good payday experience fight for a contender/titlist.

    Hell, he could be a comeback fight for Canelo after CinniBUM takes his whooping against GGG.:good

    Margarito vs Canelo will likely happen at one point.
    Lets face it, if Margarito can sell 10 000 tickets vs Jorge Paez Jr, then he can definitely pull in good PPV numbers with Canelo.

    Only because he's the only name fmj didn't waste a fight against so his haters will always have that.

    Fact is, marg wouldn't ever be top 20 win in fmj career. It's like saying Mathew Hatton would steamroll fmj and no one could ever prove otherwise

    His "classic" performances stopped once he was exposed as a loaded glove cheat! The guy is at best a B fighter otherwise.

    Because it's an easily winnable fight for Margarito, while at the same time improving his world ranking in the ABCs.

    Not saying Margarito can't get a title fight on name value alone, cuz he can, but if he beat even a fringe level guy like Zaveck, he'd have technically earned a bigger fight, and would make an easier sell for Arum and GBP vs one of their prospects, titlists, or comebacking names. :thumbsup:thumbsup
