Big write up over on the scene. Basically ****** saying that the Visa should have been sorted. Also, if Rigo was able to fly out from Moscow to Miami, that means he must have had his passport....But if he handed over his passport to the UK embassy in Moscow, then he would only have gotten the passport back when he received his visa.... Just f'in weird

I think someone on Rigo's team (who I hope has lost their job) made a stupid mistake. There's no way Rigo didn't want to come to the UK, beat a scrub and get some exposure while calling out Frampton. That would have made some news over here and kept his name in the fans' minds. It was a no-lose situation (if you discount the indignity of fighting on a Derry Matthews undercard).
The blame rests with Roc Nation. They are supposed to handle all this paperwork, as well as the press releases we are now seeing. Why the hell else would you need a promotion firm if they don't handle your promotion. What may have happened is the two promotion firms, Cariba and Roc Nation probably don't have their communications together and one or both dropped the ball. Anyway, I've seen better writing than the article by Cliff Rold on a piece of toilet paper.
Roc Nation probably thought Cariba took care of it. Cariba probably thought Roc Nation took care of it. That's what happens when you have 2 different promoters and neither are very good at what they do.
This isn't new from Rigo. His promoters/managers (Caribe Promotions) are like Cuban mafia who brought him over on a boat, helped him defect, and in exchange he had to give them a piece of everything he makes during his career. He's probably sticking with them so they don't hurt his family back in Cuba or something, but they screw up any deal that gets made by the co-promoters they loan him out to like Top Rank or Roc Nation.
The UK lets in all those thieving billionaires who stole all of Russia's loot under privatization. They walk around London like they are Princes, so what could Rigo have possibly done as bad as them.
