I am going to with Braddock on a technicality, OP mentions "comeback ". Braddock was a true rags to riches back to rags then riches again story.
Walcott is longer never give up tale which I think is every bit as inspiring.

Walcott has everything Braddock had just more of it. Fighting on an empty stomach to feed his family. Getting robbed against Louis then going into Ezzard Charles backyard after Charles already beat him twice and scoring one of the greatest KO's of all time. Finally wining the title in his 6th chance.

I think that Braddock’s rock bottom was a little bit lower, for whatever that is worth.

Walcott was a better fighter, so in that way he was less of an underdog I guess.

Walcott's story does not sync with the Cinderella story like Braddock's.

If Walcott was 'Cinderella', he would have gone to five ***** and although he caught the eye and some felt he was the 'belle of the ball' on a few occasions, he did not leave with the Prince. Then in the fifth ball, out of the blue his majesty picked him mid dance...

Baer looks lazy and apathetic in his loss to Braddock. Sometimes I wonder is something was very wrong with Baer ( Injury or illness ), or if he tanked it.

Walcott won his title in style with a clean left hook.

Probably Braddock.. He was given virtually no chance against Baer while Walcott had established himself as a real contender long before winning the title and against a man who he had fought on pretty close terms with before.

Braddock. He was absolutely done when he got Griffin, less than a journeyman.

Jersey Joe Walcott was a far better fighter than Jim Braddock. It may be that Walcott didn't have the right manager to get him into a position to make a good living as a boxer, be a contender or get title shots until he hooked up with Felix Bocchicchio after boxing as professional for more than a decade. For sure, Bocchicchio had a checkered past, but he helped turn Walcott's career around.

The craft of Jersey Joe Walcott is the standard to which skills are measured to this day. Just ask Hop and Toney.

Who looks at Braddock for inspiration? Russell Crowe:huh

I meant who had the better comeback in terms of how they rose up from bad luck and poverty to becoming the HW champion of the world. Not whose skills are better. From what I've read they both had it rough being poor and trying to find work and feed their families. I thinks its close and looking at the poll so far it's.
