Adding to that, it's not the distinction on Capetillo's part, it's whether Margarito knew and was premeditated. CSAC could not prove that Margarito knew about the pads or that he actively had intent to cheat. They absolutely could not prove intent. But they suspended him anyways lol.

 

"Intent" doesn't have to be proven when the circumstances are such that a reasonable person should have known the consequences of their actions. If you have ever had your hands wrapped before then you know when something is done differently. Margarito knew what was happening, he had done it before as the wraps were not new. Moreover, why would he willingly take a year suspension and his trainer take a lifetime suspension if they did nothing wrong? In this case, one plus one equals two. No matter how you try to twist it.

 

Then why didn't Margo sue the CSAC if he was innocent and they tried to frame him? Surely he would want to clear his name.
