See what you mean but i'm kinda not too bothered as the court carry on with FW makes me glad he's got it & although past his best (which was decent.. 2 weight world champion suggests he's certainly no bum) i hope he wins it and gets a couple of winnable big money defences. I understand people not approving but title shots happen for various reasons rarely including fairness and plenty have benefited, Bellew, Cleverley,Groves (V jack), Brian Rose,Paul Smith, Crolla,Martin Murray,Khan,All have current or fairly recent world title shots that seen more deserving challengers overlooked in each of their respective divisions, Ricky can't be mandatory surely? Unless mandatory unavailable & higher ranked fighters also committed elsewhere? or Is it a voluntary & they chose Ricky?

Rate him or not, the kids record isn't bad for a limited fighter. 2 weight world champ. How many can say that?

You could go on all day about undeserved world title shots, Imo opinion Burns isn't a complete liability as he is a former two weight world champion.

I really hope he wins and calls it a day as a THREE WEIGHT World Champion

then he should get a job.

I think rather than trick thousands of his fellow scots out of money for title fights he wasnt worth at all, then yes he should go get another job.

if hes happy with shyiting on his fellow scots whilst pretending to be a nice guy then by all means its ok what he has done.

Well 'undeserved' title shots by their very nature can't be defended, I think what Terry is trying to say is that why is Burns shot somehow worse than the dozens of other undeserved shots that have and will continue to be handed out by corrupt governing bodies?

Why not? There has been much less deserving boxer who get their chance and haven't fought at the level that Ricky has or will ever manage to compete at that level. I wish Ricky the best and hope he can pull off a victory and the possibility of more TV dates in Scotland!

definitely burns isn't a clown and definitely former two-weight world champ is a great achievement but he does not deserve another title shot and he did look dreadful when he fought figueroa

I have no probs with Crolla getting a chance, anyone who blindly chases after two burglers and takes a paving slab to the head deserves the keys to the city.

Is Broner not defending against Theopaine at the same weight & with the same orginisation?

  14. He beat bums to get all those titles/ .As soon as he came up against a world level fighter, he got found out.

He was lucky he didn't lose his belt against Jose Gonzalez, who was beating his ass until he gassed out and quit.

And he was one time world champ, the common wealth belt is a joke and he didn't beat the champ to get it. So he was a paper champ.

Then he gets his ass ruined by some polish builder.

You must be scottish to believe all this warrior talk

Eddie Hearns done a number on people like you, too drunk to know any better and believe any old drivel that gets blasted out from your television set.
