Edie beat the Canadian at home in Argentina to lift her unified WBC & WBA featherweight titles, but Mrdjenovich is now favored to regain them in the rematch by more than 1/2 in her own home town of Edmonton.

 

There's a card on Telemundo at 11:30pm EST but much lower skill level than Matthysse vs. Mrdjenovich II - so no, this is pretty much it. Technically not the only televised boxing today, but nothing else remotely meaningful.

(there was a card televised in Poland this afternoon headlined by 16-20-2 Bartłomiej Grafka versus 4-6 Adam Menzer :!

 

Per their scheduling lineup, TyC Sports were supposed to have begun airing this at 8pm EST/6pm local time in Edmonton/10pm Buenos Aires time - but here we are, 45 minutes later, and there is Fernando Sava in a press conference monologuing about his last game of soccer. :conf

 

Er, so just found this on TyC Sports' website...

"La santafesina, campeona pluma AMB y CMB, se enfrentará con la canadiense en Edmonton. El combate, comenzará a la 1.50, irá por TyC Sports y TyC Sports Play.

...so that's 2.5 hours from now. 1:50am Buenos Aires time is ten of midnight EST, and 9:50pm in Edmonton. So instead of this card being over long before Telemundo starts as I had thought, it will probably go live just in time starting with its main event to overlap with Telemundo's (who always lead with it, and have the undercard as follow-on)

I swear their own stupid TV guide elsewhere had it starting an hour ago.

 

I'm not sure if there is any Canadian television coverage for the undercard. :conf

Whatever they're showing on TyC Sports right now is actually pretty hilarious.

I think it might be their version of "SportsCenter", but the segment that has been going on for the last ten minute has literally nothing to do with any sport. They're just watching clips of random people dancing (mostly amateur rappers or fruity singer-songwriters with self-produced low-budget single-camera music videos) and brutally making fun of them.
