I don't see how they can....... they need to come to terms with the fact that without the loaded gloves Margarito is just another ordinary brawler. He went from walking through everyone to suddenly not being able to score a KO to save his life.
Antonio Margarito is shot. Mayweather may come out of retirement to fight him. 'See, I told you I could beat Margarito'.
The state commissions are crooked as corkscrews !!! The CSAC doesn't know its ass from its elbow. They also believe in plaster blocks that mysteriously disappear atschatsch
I'm not sure if that's from the Cotto fight, but I've seen and discussed that pic before eons ago. Not sure if that's a tear or just a mark of some sort. In any regards, do you think plaster would cause a tear like that? I don't think so. Emmanuel Steward stated during this controversy that it was unlikely that Margarito loaded his wraps for the Cotto fight because in Las Vegas, the inspectors provide the guaze and tape in a sealed bag and every fighter has to use that when they wrap their hands. You cant bring your own guaze and tape in Las Vegas, so its theres about zero possibility that a fighter would load their wraps with a foreign substance in Las Vegas. One of the wraps has a tear or mark on it, why doesn't the other???
What do you think it is? Looks like a tear or writing of some sort. I don't think its something out of the ordinary in boxing. HBO once did a segment discussing Margarito's handwraps and they got closeups of Margaritos handwraps afterward in that Cotto fight, but all they harped on was the red stains on Margaritos wraps and never went into discussion about that spot that looks like a tear on top of Margaritos wraps. I'm thinking that tear could have been caused right during when Margarito finishes wraping and the excess guaze and tape is cutout. That tear looks like it was caused by a pointed object such as a scissor or knife, not from the contstant pounding of plaster in the wraps. That tear is in the left hand, not the right.
Honestly, it's a tear... Margarito was wailing on Cotto with left uppercuts and left hooks... medical grade Gauze can withstand alot of tension by simply pulling on it... Something made it rip like that..
I just took a look at a closeup of it, and it looks like to me that it was torn deliberately during the wrapping. Theres what looks like a thin lace of some sort that comes out of that tear and goes between Margaritos fingers into the palm side of the wraping. If plaster or an object of some sort had caused that tear, that lace coming out of that tear would not be there.
Yes it would, thread fibers would be showing if there was a hardening under the wraps and cause that tear... I think the way the wraps were applied, Capetillo knew what he was doing to protect his hands from cutting up... if the pad is thick enough the moisture would be more towards the knuckles rather then the padding part which was dryer causing hit to harden as the fight went on.. which is why I believe the wrap ripped like that.
drenlou Einstein the forums village idiot :silly I saw margy's hands wrapped for Cotto 1 so did Cotto's rep & the commission inspector. all we satisfied
