Ward did not just decide to have a warm up match , he is fighting Kovalev's Mandatory to one of his belts to EARN a shot at the champ and not just be given one. I know we get caught up in politics, either racially or nationally, but Ward is a real fighter.:bbb

He could have been very diva like and just shot past all the mandos like a light fart and beat the **** outta Kovalev but he instead decided to win the position in a fair fight with a ranked opponent.:deal

Sulli could have easily cried that he wanted his title shot now, but he is down for the fight with S.O.G. first too. Many of you have a new found problem with Ward that did not exist until he wanted to beat up Golovkin , but **** that. Ward is a true ATG, living legend in the flesh.

And don't be surprised if he loses too, I'm predicting it, none of Barrera's opponents to date have gone past 8 rounds with him. Something to think about.

This is a true pickem fight for me, very opposite of a ggg v ward fight and to a lesser extent kovalev v ward.

Not saying it's impossible for ward to beat Sullivan and Kovalev, just unlikely and with ggg I don't fancy with any of the 3 having any shot at all. Kovalev probably has the best shot v ggg but still highly unlikely he could win a ggg battle.

All 4 are elite level talents and Sullivan v ward is a great fight where the winner can move on to challenge kovalev then that winner can try challenging a moving up ggg.

Ggg will have the mw defense, win and ko streak all wrapped up with lhw to conquer

Personally I think Ward is too much for GGG, the match would be competitive and I wouldn't write off a GGG KO win but Ward's style and size advantage would be a factor here. I give Barrera a good shot at beating Ward and by stoppage, he's bigger and stronger than anyone Ward has faced since he was in the amateurs, Kovalev destroys Ward in 6.

GGG has 0 chance against Kovalev, he's far too big and hits far too hard for GGG to have a chance against him, I think GGG can pick up a strap at SMW but being realistic LHW is a bridge too far.

Well he's only been scheduled for a couple of fights over 8 rounds and mainly fought sausages.

Meanwhile Joshua is a bum apparently, yet nobody has lasted past 7? :think

No he's a bum because his skills aren't worth a s*** his chin is garbage and he's the product of PED engineering, he's the epitome of a hypejob.

I know being a PED cheat should be demonized but you have to look at the fight objectively. Joshua can fail every test leading up to the fight but he fact remains that those advantages still exist and Martin has to overcome them. Pointing out a cheater is a cheater doesn't magically make that cheat advantage disappear.

Ward is fighting this Beretta guy because he is afraid of fighting Kovalev. He talked about fighting GGG but he fought Will Smith. Ward is a clown, he should be made to wear his red nose permanently next time he sue somebody and goes to court

Was the Will Smith fight in Bel Air in the Summertime?

I was really beginning to jump on the Ward is a joke bandwagon, i was really getting fed up of his inactivity and then it was Paul freshprince Smith followed by an attempt to fight that Aussie guy that was so bad it didnt get sanctioned.

But then he picked Barrera. Nobody can claim he has picked easy this time, he isnt number 1 or 2 in the division really but hes up there and looks very dangerous. Serious fair play for picking this, Ward must be looking to make a real statement to Kovalev and all of us.

Either that or his managment are so shocking they thought, never heard of him so cant be that good we will pick him. Cuz Roc Nation or what ever they are called dont seem to be so ringsmart themselves.

Oh he definitely would.... Sturm is a titlist at SMW :patsch

Abraham and Jack are winnable fights too... Especially the latter due to his chin issues. Degale would be the toughest riddle for him to solve though.
