Pernell Whitaker vs JC Chavez : I scored this fight a draw too

I take it your Mexican? I mean seriously I enjoy watching Chavez far more than Whitaker but the fight wasn't close a draw it was a flat out robbery, 8-4 id the absolute minimum Whitaker won in reality.

I loved Chavez and always thought Whitaker was a pompous ass, but even I had Whitaker clearly winning that fight. It was a horrible decision.

 

Dirty fight.

 

I think Whitaker won, and see no scope for a draw, but it was not as one sided as some make out.

That said, like most Brits we did not see it live, so the first time I saw the bout I knew the result, so that may have had a bias in my score.

Rewatched it last year and thought Whitaker won at least 8 rounds. It sounds like you scored several of the rounds for Chavez on the basis of his ineffective aggression?

 

Chavez got schooled. Whitaker beat him inside and outside and Whitakers punches even looked heavier

 

I believe I had it 8-4 for Pernell and watched the bout closely. Stretching things as far as possible I might have made it 7-5, there was no question Sweet Pea clearly won the fight.

 

Pea bashed his ***** like I beat my meat.

 

not seen it since the first time, so going to watch it again and decide then.

Not sure what one could be looking at to have this one end up a draw. Unless you're a super-nationalistic Mexican.
