Pityful payday for the rest of the groups:

Nate Diaz got $500,000 plus the $50,000 win bonus
    Holly Holm made $500,000
    Meisha Tate made...:rofl $46,000 plus a $50,000 win bonus.

I remember Arum paying Diego Chaves $23,000 for the Brandon Rios fight and then complaining that Haymon pays his fighters too much money.

All that money goes to Zuffa and Dana. $90 million in revenue and tickets and only $5 million might go to the fighters altogether. :patsch

Boxing is far more fair to the fighters. Hell, Don King shakes his head in shame at those fighters paydays.

Chaves did take home far more than the $23,000 as Argentinian TV paid a good to him

Not possible because the UFC has a monopoly and once the fighters sign with them they're basically their slaves and can't fight elsewhere.

UFC is big as a brand and outside of the UFC other MMA shows make hardly any profit at all. Even if Mayweather would sign all the non-UFC top MMA talent out there no one other than hardcore fans would give a damn about his promotion. People pay to watch UFC, most MMA fans are strictly UFC fans. MMA fighters will never get paid even nearly as much as boxers because they're in no position to demand anything.

If you are a MMA fighter then you HAVE to really love fighting. You are ultra correct in your post.

I think there is room for some disruption in mma. Whilst UFC is an incredible corporate machine someone like floyd mayweather shows that in combat sport there is a blue print for individuals to make money.

If Connor Mcgregor somehow got out of his contract tomorrow you can't tell me he wouldn't be able to draw some incredible numbers himself. The same UFC fans would tune in to watch him. I see it similar to Floyd switching from HBO to Showtime. Put the right infrastructure around an athlete and you can grow them.

So is $500 but it still doesnt make it right.

Fighters put their lives on the line and these other guys take all the money.

Stop with the "fighters put their life on the line" BS.. That's not why they get paid as well as they do.. They are paid well because of the entertainment value they bring. The more viewers they bring for the advertisers to show their products the more they get paid.. There are hundreds of everyday jobs that people put their lives at risk MORE than a professional fighter. construction workers, police, fire fighters, industrial workers, etc... Have way more deaths and injuries than fighters..

    That is all...

Fighters for the most part are quite dumb so they get taken advantage of, just like soldiers.

They just help rich people get richer.
