This is pretty simple really.

With both in their primes, Ortiz barely got by him.

Berto is more or less the same as he was then. Ortiz has been KTFO twice, stopped thrice, and had some long bouts of inactivity (and instability both in his mental health & weight)

One is coming off knocking out a couple of bums on the comeback trail from being ICED BY A SHOT COLLAZO.

The other is coming off losing a shutout to Mayweather Jr., but doing so in the exact same manner that he would've 5 years ago (that was always going to strongly favor PBF to coast bell to bell, on styles) - before that stopping Josesito Lopez, and before that shutting out Steve Upsher Chambers...aka the guy Luis Collazo went life and death with before he put Ortiz to sleep.

 

More respect to good price fighters.

Both are trash

Berto still has something left and has a really good training camp going on already...Ortiz might even have trouble making weight.

 

I really don't want to see Berto take any more bad beatings at this point. On the other hand, I'm perfectly okay with Ortiz being publicly put to sleep (again).

 

I dont think ive ever disliked a fighter more than I dislike victor ortiz

 

I remember a lot of Mexicans hating on him because they thought that he could not speak Spanish. Even the latin market in boxing is hurting right now too.
