Bowes greatness is based on beating Holyfield, outside of that he had nothing. That's not the same argument for Ali because aside from beating Frazier, Ali also pretty much beat every relevant heavyweight from that era.

Tyson never beat Golota. Bowe did.

But that fight was a no contest. Nice lie. Shame you've been caught.

Yes, because Tyson tested positive for weed....how is that relevant to the actual outcome, which was TKO2?

Because it was ruled a no contest and NOT a win.

I'll meet you in the middle by conceding that he did not beat Douglas or Witherspoon, who both had some presence in the division in the late 80's, even though neither one was really a top flight contender for various reasons during Tyson's reign. But they still count. He did however beat Spinks, Tucker, Berbick, Smith, Thomas, Tubbs, Bruno, Williams, Biggs, Holmes, Marvis Frazier, Ribalta, Tillis, Green, and Ruddock later ( past my suggested time frame. ) And of course was signed to fight Holyfield. That's still a pretty damn good chunk of a division.

Golota beat the living snot out of Bowe and basically retired him... After two rounds with Tyson Golota quit!

But he still lost didn't he?
Let's not pretend the fight didn't take anything out of Golata as well.
I'm sure the concussion, fractured left cheekbone and herniated disc of Golata had nothing to do with it.

Your excuses for Tyson are numerous. I'll stand on him facing many softer touches in the 1990's, and being upset a bit too often, not to mention suspensions from drugs. Oh, and he'd foul his share with the elbows.

I do think Tyson is a TOP 5 ATG, vs tier two level compeition, but just outside the top ten overall when you consider other greats.

Ruddock and Thomas were likely Tyson's best wins

Would you like me to go through the top 10 heavyweights and how each of them had some form of special cheat move they would use throughout their fights? You act like Tyson was the only one.

This is fighting, if you don't like it, watch a different sport.

Id love to see who ranks above him.

He makes my top 10 as I've already stated. Probably somewhere between 7-10.. But I'm curious as to where you rate him.
