Keith Thurman lacks the mentality of a champion and a boxer - Videos inside

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Primal Pledge, Mar 16, 2016.

  1. I use to be a big supporter of Keith when he first burst on the scene. He was this explosive kid ready to go toe to toe with anyone and was knocking people out for fun and honouring his nickname One time.

He also could articulate himself in good measure without coming out with the usual cliches and run of the mill gash we usually have to hear come out some of these boxers mouth. But he showed he knew the game and the mechanics of what was actually happening inside the ring.

Sadly since he has had to step up in opposition he has let himself down BIG time in and outside of the ring.

Alarm bells started ringing when he made excuses when he failed to take out a 40 year old has been in Bundu when he was suppose to make a statement on the khan/alexander undercard. Saying that he was learning, that he was up against a difficult operator. If you're promising ko's then you better deliver those ko's keith.

Then he starts badmouthing Collazo, calling him washed up, when khan chose to fight him, But then when Keith himself gets the chance to stepped into the ring with him, he starts running like a schoolgirl and almost gets taken out by a body shot by this washed up Collazo

Then he goes life and death with Robert Guerro, who Danny Garcia made light work of, and this guy is calling himself the best at welterweight and wanting to fight floyd :yikes

I have to agree with Khan and Guerrero and say this guy ain't One time, but Sometimes and run time' because he ain't serving up no ko's in the ring and now he's bailing out from fights like he's Andre Ward, crying about whiplash.

Now if anyone knows anything about getting whiplash, you know damn well you can still throw your hands and it don't effect all day.

Now what is really upsetting is seeing videos like the one below.... I mean really?? You're breakind down and crying to the back drop of a piano playing and you're ****ing boxer?

    [yt]enpT_TzzGT0[/yt]

Then at the head to head with Porter, he's eyeing him up like he wants to **** the man. His eye***** are coming out of his skull and then Keith is talking about how great he at staring people out.

Then he's got his filthy ass on twitter inviting people to face off contests. And that's not the last of it, we got this clown posting videos of himself sitting on the grass playing the flute.

    [yt]IzCMdN1QFfw[/yt]

I starting to believe this guy plays for the other team. That ain't the mentality of champ let alone a boxer. You don't bring that **** to boxing, you keep that kind of **** to yourself.

I'm now rooting for Porter, because at least he BRINGS IT, every time he steps inside that squred circle. And by God let him make sure he corrects this sissy ass fraud.

I've never felt that Thurman had the heart of a fighter, he talks a big game but it just never felt genuine to me. always found his personality and interviews annoying as well

hes just one of those new age spiritual dudes who happens to make a very good living fighting. and hes good at it. whats the problem here?

  8. Just because you're into 'new age' spiritual stuff, don't mean you need to balling, crying and playing instruments designed for little girls, like some fairy. You don't bring that **** into boxing.

This guy use to have cornrows where he looked like a man now he's slicking his hair back into pony tails like he's some woman. That's some Bruce Jenner type ****, right there.

And it's effecting his ability in the ring, because in his last few fights, all he's been doing is running like he be afraid of getting hit.

:deal Thurman would never risk moving up to 155 to fight for the Caneloweight World Championship, no doubt in my mind.
