Bellew is getting knocked out by Makubu

Most think Bellew would get beaten at world title cruiser.. or if he ever faced Stevenson again @ 200lbs..

 

Having seen him against Glen Johnson I'd say he'll stop Bellew if Tony doesn't run all night. Odd situation as he hadn't boxed since last May, he rarely boxes outside of Africa and he once boxed at the Nirvana Secondary School. I would make a grunge based joke but nevermind.

 

How much can you read into Glen Johnson though, he's been finished a long time. I'm sure that venue smells like teen spirit

If Hearn ever gets bored of those boxing lark then he should go into politics. How he consistently manages to sell Tony Bellew as world class to the general public is beyond me. It really is a fantastic achievement.

Evertons average attendance 38,000...the way Bellew has attached himself to the club with a good card this will easily get 15,000+

 

This could go one of two ways Evertonians unconditionally love anything and everyone Everton, so a fair few will turn up for that reason but I think it won't get more than 15000 ish of them. This will need a massive undercard to shift enough tickets to warrant Goodison because people are getting sick of his antics, followed by him delivering snooze fests in the ring, shame really because In most of his interviews with IFL or when there's no upcoming fight he seems sound.
As for the fight, I've never Makubu fight so I cant comment but I've heard he's fought no one really so that could put Bellew at an advantage.

This is a bizarre fight. Makubu literally hasn't fought anyone of note. This isn't for the full title is it? A shot to SH!* Glen Johnson doesn't count - hes loosing fights to novices. He was past when he fought Allan Green so god knows what he's like now.
But if hes naturally the bigger man and can come in shape and his power is legit. Bellew will have a hard time of it he hasn't impressed for a long time

 

Makabu recently knocked out Munchu, who beat Eddie Chambers and Durodola. The same guy that recently knocked out Kud, and got away with a positive drug test.
Makabu is a sure fire top 10 Cruiser. Maybe even top 5.

 

He's at worst done as much as Bellew at this weight
