As do I. #8-#10 is a reasonable range to be ranking Tyson.

'I was more scared of Don King and the dotted line than Tyson'.

    Signed George Foreman.

Foreman vs Tucker never happened because there was no public demand for it, hence no real money for either of them. That and most boxing fans could read between the lines and knew that Tucker's #1 rating was fraudulent and only an attempt by Don King to get one of HIS men in control of the crown to be easy pickings for Tyson.. This is precisely why we had a WBA elimination match between #1 Tucker and #2 Seldon, neither of whom had any business being within shouting distance of a top 5 rating let alone a title shot... Think about it.. Tucker loses decisively to Lewis in May of 1993. Over the next two years he beats four journeyman named David Graves, Cecil Coffee, Dan Murphy and George Stephens who's records were abysmal, and yet he ends up at number ONE ?? And likewise, Bruce Seldon loses to Tony Tubbs then puts together a weak winning streak over similar oppostion to Tucker and lands in the number two spot.. They fight... Seldon wins.. And not long after Tyson has the WBA title again... It was about as transparent as a white bathing suit soaking wet on a set of size 36 D's..

After dropping the belt, I believe Foreman went and fought Crawford Grimsly.

Tuckers record might not have been flattering, but who was Crawford Grimsley?

He didn't drop the WBA belt, the WBA refused to sanction his scheduled match with Axel Schulz. They stripped him. He fought Axel Schulz.
Then the IBF ordered a rematch with Schultz, Foreman refused. They stripped him.
    Or something like that.

Arguably both Tucker's previous shots at a HW title had been based on similar Don King machinations.

But you'd have to agree that Tucker was still a bigger name, than Grimsley?

Yeah, Tucker was a bigger name.
Whether he'd beat Grimsley in 1995 or '96 I'm not sure.

I'm not sure how much foreman got for fighting grimsley but I'm sure he'd have picked up more for the Tucker fight.

So not fighting Tucker for financial reasons seem bizarre considering who Foreman eventually fought.

But he didn't want to do business with Don King.
Tucker was still with King, so it would have meant doing some business with King.
