Technically behind the ear is the back of the head, so it was a rabbit punch.

Mosley battered margarita, he just chinned him. There is no excuses!

A lot of **** happens mentally before a fight, he got his chin checked by a true we puncher!

Maybe had he been thinking straight he wouldn't have just stood there and got his skull bashed in, he was clearly distracted.:-( What's wrong with you people.

He was hurt and has no defence. Hahaha

Shane shook him to the core. Mosley is a very good puncher when he can pull the trigger and land, he was fighting margarito the punch bag, so landing was not a problem.

Yeah, maybe. But for me to drink that koolaid, Wlad better put Fury on a stretcher in the rematch.

Unfortunately Wlad looked magnificent physically, and the fact that he managed to open up in the twelfth shows me that he knew what to do, and was capable of it. Maybe there IS some truth to what the Fury fans have been saying, that Fury is a very awkward fighter to deal with, and fights to the level of his opposition. Or maybe Wlad is very slow in switching to Plan B. If so, he better wake up quickly.

Maybe there is some truth in what fury fans are saying lol

You fury deniers are total jokes. Fury is very unorthodox good on his feet and I don't know if you noticed he's 6'9 with an 85 inch reach. So yeh he is slightly awkward.

Fury shut down wladmir a probing jab, that's what won him the fight with ease.
If wlad establishes the jab next fight as I've said many times before he can win. Wlads whole game plan is the jab and everything behind it. He's hardly a inside hooker upper cutter body puncher.

Either there's no real excuse. Only that fury did what he was meant and wlad didn't adapt. He has another chance to prove it, no jab no win.

the margarito excuse always cracks me up...ive seen it several times

"oh the weight of all of it came crashing down...facing possible suspension...possible jail...it was too much"

haha ya right....if i still made the walk to the ring and got in their against an opponent whos trying to kill me...you best believe im going to wake up...especially after the first real punch is thrown in my direction

nazim said it days before the fight "if you say hes a killer let him be a killer on sunday morning too".....what you had was an overrated fighter with no real boxing skills get his rear end beaten by an old version of shane who was a big underdog.....i know i predicted shane to win(im far from perfect with predictions though).....i could see that one coming a mile away...i got shane at 4-1......margarito is a bum with a chin and stamina....chin and stamina are two good traits to have in this sport ....and they can earn you fans and impress people....but eventually you are going to get your stool pushed in by top level fighters.....if cotto had fought in the first match, the way he did in the 2nd, for 12 rounds he would have done the same thing and we never would have even had a rematch

The OP makes a very good point in general. There are many factors than can disrupt a training camp or fight. These range in the impact they may have on the fight itself, but they should all be taken into consideration. However, expecting that to happen on this board is a ludicrous notion. Most posters on here are more concerned with their petty internet rivalries and one up manship. Luckily for the sport, there are many fans and people involved in the sport that don't post on this board that realise this fact.

If you read this board long enough you realise that some people here trully believe that this board is THE hotbed of boxing fandom, information and truth. Thankfully it is not. It is just a board that has some great posters who post about a wide variety of boxing topics, but ultimately consists of nuthuggers and haters arguing over a topic whilst both missing the point completely. Said topic is usually about some top level fighter, as well. Don't expect an overall, healthy knowledge of the entire sport at all levels.
