Even a prime Manny Pacquiao would still encounter problems with Mayweather's size.

Pacquiao is a legit 5'5" that's all he he is. He hasn't fought somebody shorter than him since 2003 when he fought Emmanuel Lucero. The last man he fought who wasn't the naturally bigger man was Marco Antonio Barrera. Who is/was about the same natural size as the Pacman.

Mayweather is 5'8" with a long reach and massive shoulders and torso compared to Pacquiao.

A great big man usually beats a great little man. Some exceptions like Duran-Leonard have occurred. But that's pretty damn rare. The old adage of the little one can't beat the big one usually holds true.

People don't realize Pacquiao is a lower weight class fighter. Because he's been at Welterweight for so long and his biggest PPV numbers were done at Welterweight.

Bull****. Pacqiao was rehydrating 15lbs at the lower weights. He was draining himself to fight at lower weights.

he had huge respect for pac, he knew knocking out pac would be a huge feat and by no means an easy job. with so much hanging on the fight he did not even entertain the idea of doing it, he boxed smart and got the win

like most trainers will tell you "just box smart, if the knockout comes IT COMES"

He only did that towards the end of his 130 pound days. He didn't start rehydrating to 140+ until 2006 and later.

I saw him rehydrate to 129 against Julio.

Because he didn't have to. He was landing his right hand whenever he needed points. A wide decision is definitive enough. Also there's people out there deluding themselves Pac actually won the decision so that keeps a rematch in play if he so chooses as there are still millions of haters begging to be fleeced again. All about options. Money May also doesn't fight according to your criteria but the judges. Those saying he fought scared, well considering the 2 rounds he lost he got hit with one or two significant punches, his margin for error was pretty small. Sr. (or was it Roger) was overly concerned about it since the right hand was landing there was no need to go to plan B. One of the most impressive things about Mayweather his is ring iq and awareness.

Good question, indeed. Pac is glass chinned and shot, according to the very Fl0mos. He looked two weight classes below Floyd, hardly even sparred and his sparring partners were MMA guys (Lmao!)

Still Floyd wouldn't open up against a guy he was trying to rip his right arm off the socked

One thing i was sure about going into this fight would be Pac would suffer no damage at all LOL

Mayweather never dared to try to even stop Pac his daddy told him to try but he said after the fight "a trainer cant fight for you they dont know whats working and not working with a fighter in there"

Mayweather found out early he had to clinch hold and run every time he let his hands go a little he would get caught and hurt

Take your own advice. NO ONE has ever said that Floyd is a small fighter, but Golovkin, Martinez, Williams, and Canelo have all acknowledged that a fight with him wouldn't really be possible due to Pac being very small. Members of TMT all were surprised by how small Pac was. Only an inch shorter than Floyd, huh?

Fighting off the back foot against a much smaller man is really weak. I mean come on with that much size advantage you should really take it to him.
