Mayweather just doesn't take chances against fighters with the ability to land clean and hurt him. Always against them, he's in defensive mode throwing punches with little torque behind them.

Defensive fighters rarely take a chance and go for KO's.

It's not fighting Pacquiao's fight. He should have actually decided to "fight".

Why would you fight off the back foot against a little 36 year old featherweight?

Mayweather did the same thing against Marquez. Being so much smaller than Mayweather, JMM didn't stand a chance.

And Floyd didn't even go for the KO against tiny little Marquez.

Mayweather did go for the KO when he dropped and hurt Marquez, but once he didn't get him out of there, he didn't take many chances there after.

Being more cautious of the speed and the punch he doesn't see coming, Mayweather did fight more cautious against Pacquiao than he did Marquez, thus never really torqueing up to throw a shot that could hurt Pacquiao.

Flowmos were saying that Pacquiao died in the ring and was done after KTFO6. With such statements, Pacquiao's ring age, actual age, and Floyd's significant size advantage and now obvious juicing, anything less than a KO is a disappointment. They should hold their man to a higher standard.

His entire team was saying Floyd was gonna KO Pacquiao.

    :yep

When was the last time you watched a HW fight? Or a Victor Postol fight? Fighting off the back foot is mostly what you do when you're up against a smaller opponent who has better one punch power over you.

I thought as well Mayweather had good chance to stop Pacquiao, but for that to have happened it would have required for Pacquiao to really press the issue and attack Mayweather guns blazing.
That didn't happen, and if its really true that the reason behind it was Pacquiao's shoulder was injured, imo that served Pacquiao from being stopped by Mayweather.

An aggressive Pacquiao would have forced Mayweather to put more into his shots to keep Pacquiao honest, that's where Pacquiao could have run into something that could have hurt him as what happened in his 4th fight with JMM.

In the HW division there is no weight limit. Everybody is just heavyweight.

What I'm saying is why would you fight off the back foot against guys who are literally multiple weight classes smaller than you like Mayweather has done?

that was just because floyd bends down a bit when facing off. There's a good inch to 2 there. Floyd is short also, but Pac's a midget.

Everybody being HW doesn't change the fact that there are bigger and smaller guys. Smaller guys who has superior one punch power need to get inside to use their advantage, that's why bigger guys with lesser punching power need to retain the distance with their jab and footwork, aka box off the back foot. Learn your boxing before you talk.
